Product Review - Witch anti blemish skin clearning primer

Ok girls, hands up, who loves a good blog sale! I LOVE blog sales. Lets face it we all end up with stuff we dont like after using it once or that we wont use. The thing I like most about blog sales it is a great way to try something new, probably at a fraction of the price you would normally pay! The other week I saw that one of my favourite bloggers Charli at Secrets behind the closet door was having a blog sale.
I purchased a few things from the sale, a L'Oreal Eye Pallet (review coming soon) and this Witch primer. My mum started using the accessorise primer which she got in Superdrugs just before christmas and I have been shopping around for a nice affordable primer which you get a decent amount in (No17 do one for £4.99 but it is tinnnny) so when I saw this on Charl's blog sale for £3 I thought I would give it a try.

This bottle is a 30ml bottle (but to be honest it feels quite big - if you know what I mean). Looking online I found out that this retails at £6.99 in boots which to be honest I dont think is bad as it also contains anti blemish ingredients too. According to the product description it says "Holds make-up in place and helps protect skin from the causes of blemishes". I started using this product as soon as it arrived, putting it under my make up everyday and I think that it is definatley making a difference. When I first started reading about primers I thought that they really couldnt make much of a difference, I mean I have been wearing make up for years without using a primer! But I have to say I can really tell the difference. It does give a more even base for your make up and helps it to stay on longer. I used to find when I came to take my make up off at night before using a primer there would be hardly any foundation or powder coming off onto the make up wipe. However since I have been using the primer - there is more make up coming off on my make up wipes when I take it off, so the primer is obviously holding in place properly!

Primers seem to be all over at the moment, all varying in price. Just looking in Boots while in town the other day I noticed some of the well known brands such as L'Oreal, Maybeline, Rimmel, No17 and No7 all have started to do primers. All of these retail for varying prices from £4.99 for the No17 one to £19.50 for the No7 Airbrush primer. I have also seen other ones online such as MUA and ELF. I do love the Witch one. I think I may be tempted by another brand - possibly the Rimmel one or the MUA or ELF ones which are all under £10 which I think is enough to pay.

Do you use a primer? Which one if your favourite brand to use?
