We've had the invite for Adam's cousins wedding for months and I'm not gonna lie, for months I have been panicking about what I was going to wear, especially when I realised I would be 35 weeks pregnant!
The wedding was 96 miles from home however we decided that we weren't going stay over as I will be honest, I didn't want to be that far away from home for a long period of time and since we were going to be in the car for about 2 and a half hours I wanted something comfortable.
I knew I didn't want to spend a lot on an outfit, particularly so close to the end of my pregnancy when I knew I wouldn't get much wear out of it.
I ordered this dress from the Mothercare sale for a total bargain of £5 and loved it when it came - it looked perfect, was comfy - sorted.. however little miss had other ideas about it and thanks to a sudden growth spurt my lovely comfy dress although still fit was now not comfortable and defiantly not practical for sitting in the car for 2 and a half hours!
I then ordered a dress from the Dorothy Perkins sale - deciding to go up a size just in case however got an email from the 3 days after ordering it to say they had insufficient stock and had cancelled my order... queue pregnancy melt down and me threatening to go to the wedding in a bin bag :P
Id been through my wardrobe once and tried what I thought was all my suitable dresses on however I decided on Thursday to have another look at what I had knowing if all else fails I had a girly day with Mum and Nanna planned for Friday, the day before the wedding so would hunt something down.
To my surprise, not only did I find a suitable dress that had slipped off the coat hanger hiding at the back of my wardrobe but it fit!!! Yipee!
Dress: Evans - This dress is probably at least 10 years old (if not longer) as I am pretty sure I brought it when I worked there.. and I left in 2007 however this is a classic Evans style and they have lots of lovely similar dresses on their website here
Cardigan - TU @ Sainsbury's - Again this is a couple of years old however Wallis have something similar here
Tights - Mothercare - £12 (Pack of 2) - Avaliable here - Mothercare maternity tights are hands down the comfiest tights I have tried. They come right up over my bump and have a lovely panel at the front.
Shoes - Primark - £6 - I wanted something really comfy and dressy but without a heel. These pointed sling backs were the perfect combination of what I wanted. They had a few different colours in my local Primark but they don't have the details online. Matalan have something similar in white and blue here
Fascinator - Borrowed from my mum
Im so glad I chose something comfy as it took us ages to get home last night thanks to the snow!
Let’s me honest.. as the weather starts to get warmer it can’t just be me longing for spring! Although I’ll be honest this winter hasn’t exactly seen me donning thick jumpers thanks to the joys of pregnancy hormones!

Floral Kimono - £15

Chambray shirt - £12

Mustard Cardi - £8

Grey jersey shoe - £8
However as the end of my pregnancy draws ever closer (nearly 5 weeks to go) I’m dreaming of the days when I can get back into wearing different clothes and not just what fits! I’ll be honest I’ve been very lucky and haven’t actually brought too much in terms of maternity wear - in actually maternity wear I’ve brought about 4 tops, a pair of jeans, a pair of black trousers for work and some leggings. A lot of my pre pregnancy style meant I could continue to wear most of my pre pregnancy tops.
Anyway.. to spring! I love primark, particularly when fashions go in and out so quickly and I’m not particularly one to follow the completely on trend styles and tend to go with what I like and want to wear instead of what’s “hot right now”. I can however find primark very hit and miss. Sometimes I will come away with a basket full and other times nothing.. but I’ve had a little mooch on the website and found a few pieces that would be a great addition to my spring wardrobe!
Green Maxi Dress - £8
Yellow trousers - £13
Floral Kimono - £15
Wine coloured high waisted jeans - £8
Chambray shirt - £12
Paisley Vest - £4
Mustard Cardi - £8
Printed Shirt - £8
Grey jersey shoe - £8
T bar ballet shoe - £6
There are some seriously lovely pieces here! Mustard and yellow seem to be big on the high street again this spring which I love which I am glad about because I love the colour and it suits my skin tone. The printed trousers are fab! I love a printed trouser! I also love the printed kimono! I have a couple from primark from the last couple of years which I get so much wear out of! It’s perfect for dressing up but also great for a dress down day.
I also need these shoes in my life! I’ve been wearing a pair of slip on sketchers most of the second half of my pregnancy which have just been so darn comfy and these look lovely and comfy too. I’ll be honest, if they have them in black I’d be tempted by both. I also love these t bar shoes! Perfect for dressing up with leggings or tights but also with jeans. I love primark shoes especially ones like this, for how much I wear something like this I tend to wear ballet shoes out quite quickly and I find no matter how much I pay they don’t last a long time so you may as well pay primark prices. We are going to a wedding tomorrow and I’m yet to find an outfit (thanks for cancelling my order Dorothy Perkins) so I’m on the hunt in town today for a dress! I love these shoes as a comfy option which will look smart without being a heel!
Keep your fingers crossed I can find a wedding outfit! And I will definitely be on the hunt for some of these lovely items while I’m in town! What’s your favourite thing about spring fashion?
So today for Fashion Friday I thought I would share with you an OOTD from my trip out last night to the theatre.

I have been a massive fan of New Look for a long time and always seem to find something yummy hanging on their rails! Taking a look at their website to put this post together I sense there may be some New Look bags coming home with me!

I got into coloured Jeans last year picking up a purple pair in the early half of the year and a red pair in the autumn. I quite fancy a nice springy pair again and these mint ones would be perfect but they also have them in Lilac or pink too!
Im definitely looking forward to shopping trip to New Look to check out their new ranges in person!
So I thought today we would shake it up a little bit... I have been browsing some of the latest styles which have been popping up all over the place over the last few weeks ready for Spring and summer and so I thought I would share with you what I am loving of the spring and summer styles this year!
You may remember last year I wrote this post way way back in January about how much I loved the offerings that Next were offering last year and this year is no different! Next have once again delivered and have some seriously gorgeous things in! As I am sure I have mentioned we are off to Ibiza for 2 weeks in May and so its that time to having a look for some pieces to add to my summer holiday wardrobe. This year will be very different from the holiday I had last year, last year was all theme parks, combats and trainers.. this year I am swapping that for flip flops and lying by the pool!
First of all can we just take a moment to just appreciate how awesome this tshirt is! I will defiantly be picking this up next time I am in Next!
Even this early in the season there are some beautiful pieces coming through ready for the summer season. I love all of these pieces and the gift card I had from one of the doctors at work is burning a serious hole in my pocket waiting to be spent however I wanted to save it to get something for my holiday! You know I am partial to a spot or 2 and I love both the spot dress and the bikini! I don't normally wear bikinis owing to my flabby parts but when your on holiday and you don't know anyone who wants a white belly?? I am sensing lots of cute dresses and a cute alternative may be one of these jump suits which I fancy trying. And this hat! I had a hat very similar in my hand last year from h&m which I didn't end up picking up and then regretted! I definitely want a cute hat like this, this year! If this is the start of what Next has to offer this year then I am excited to see what other beauties start to filter through as the season goes on!
Do you have any loves in Next this year??

At the weekend, I spotted Look Magazine posting a feature about their favourite loves from Primarks New SS14 collection. You can see the full feature on their website here but I thought I would share with you my favourite picks from this collection of beauties!
For me over the past couple of years, Primark have really upped their game! They have had some brilliant pieces and my wardrobe is sporting quite a bit of it now! We all know that Primark has always been labeled as the store which offers cheap and cheerful and especially since I have been losing weight I have found them a great way to find perfect up to date pieces without spending a fortune for things that in a couple of months will be too big!
Anyway to my favourites of the collection..

Have you spotted anything in the new Primark collection you will definitely be picking up???
When I got an invite for a family friend who was having a rock/prom party to celebrate a host of celebrations this year which had happened - a 50th Birthday, an 18th birthday and a 16th birthday all in the space of a few months - I knew I was going straight down the prom theme. I did briefly look at the rock side but who doesn't want the excuse to don a pretty dress and heels?
In the last few years, I have accumulated some lovely dresses what with one for my 18th, 2 lots of graduation and various weddings and parties I had a few to choose from. However yesterday when on the morning of the party I finally decided to sort out what I was going to wear I was shocked to find that 3 or 4 of my dresses were wayyyyyyy to big! Including one I brought at christmas I have only had on once! Heres what I went with...
What do you think about customising your clothes? Have you ever adding in a bit of detail to make something jazzed up a little??

Dress - New Look - £12 in the sale around Christmas
Tiara - Claires Accessories - £2.50 in the sale
Bracelets - Peacocks - £4
Necklace - Primark - *I think* around £3
I brought this dress back at christmas and I have only worn it once. When I brought it the piece of lace you can see across the chest wasn't included - it was something I added in (or rather my Nanna sewed in for me) and I think really adds something to just a plain LBD. I teamed it with my old faithful glittery heals which I love and are perfect for dancing the night away! I stole the below photo from when I wore them a few months ago but just so you can see them!
Dress: Dorothy Perkins - £38 - Avaliable Here - 20% off atm
Shoes: New Look
Cardi: Evans
Leggings: Primark
I went to a wedding on Saturday and wasn't it a fantastic day for a wedding. I decided to treat myself to this little beauty of a dress since I have this wedding and another wedding coming up in August. I fell in love with it instantly when I saw it sitting on the rail in Dorothy Perkins. I was a little disappointed to see they didnt have my usual size but they had a size smaller and I decided just out of chance to try the smaller size on since i loved the dress so much. I was so happy/surprised to find it fit me that I knew the dress needed to come home with me! I am so in love with this dress. Its so pretty and very spring/summer weddingy. I teamed it with the purple cardi for the evening reception which was a 40 minute drive away from where we lived and it was going a little chilly. I love the detail on the bottom of the dress, you can just see it on the top picture, it has a slightly see-through lacey bit which is so cute.
I will definately be getting some wear out of this dress during Spring/Summer for all those lovely occasions :)
I was doing my usual blog reading the last weekend when I came across a post on Beauty Crushes blog
of what I think was an outfit post from London Fashion Week. I love
Sammi's outfit posts as she always pair some fantastic things together.
Anyway on seeing this post I instantly fell in love with the bag which Sammi was sporting - the Zara Office Bag. The moment I saw this bag I knew I wanted it! It is such a nice bag!

This bag as I say is the Zara Office City Bag and is £49.99. It seems like this bag is very popular amongst the bloggers out there as I have since seen it on another couple of blogs I read too.
I havent brought this bag yet but I reallllly want to get it. We haven't got a Zara around here but tomorrow is payday :S
I am going for an interview on Wednesday and I have decided to before I buy it. I decided if I get this new job then I am going to treat myself to this new bag as it would be perfect for carrying folders and papers around.

Do you have this bag from Zara or are you lusting over it???
I thought I would share with you the latest addition to my handbag collection. I was getting a bit bored of the bag I was using and it felt a little small (for all the crap I like to carry round in my handbag) so I fancied a change and a new bag. I have had my eyes open for weeks to see if I could get a new bag but hadnt found anything I really liked. I wondered if I was being too fussy. I needed it to fit my Samsung Galaxy Tablet in as I take this to work to read on. I love satchel style bags and like ones that have long straps. Surely this can not be so hard.
And then on a girly trip to town I found itttttttttttt...
Isnt it pretty! This bag is called the Faux Snake Trim Satchel and is available in store and online here at Topshop for £34.
I am so in love with this bag. It fits everything in which I want including my mac which rolls up. I will do another Whats in my bag post at some point because I haven't done one for probably 12 months. So keep your peepers peeled for that!
