Ok, so look outside, I know technically now it is probably more like Winter but its a bit of a tradition to share with you my favourite nail colours from the season! You know how much I love nail polish and so here are my top picks for Autumn/winter 2013 - Usually when I do these posts I stick to my top 10 but I thought hey, its only 4 weeks until christmas so a little early present for you! I am treating you to my Top 18 polishes instead! (Be warned I am hopeless at describing polishes)
And that sums up my top colours for Autumn/Winter 2013. Which of these are your favourites? Any you will be rushing out to pick up??
- Barry M Gelly Polish in Greenberry
- Models Own Black Nail Art Pen
- Models Own light pink (the name escapes me right now)
- OPI Im all ears from the Minnie Mouse Collection.
Lychee is a really light beige nudey colour. This photo doesnt really do this shade justice. It is such a nice neutral shade. I decided to top it with the new top coat from L'Oreal - Diamond Lurex.
Have you tried the Barry M Gelly Shades? Do you love or hate?
On going past the Bourjois stand I noticed they had the new Rouge lipsticks with £2 off making them £5.99. I recently started to get into lip products since companies started to make them more moisturising.3 of the shades drew me in, shade number 4 - Rose tweed, shade number 7 -Fuchsia Graffiti and shade number 18 - Voline Strass
I love these. I tried a couple of them this afternoon. They feel very soft on your lips and the colour stays around for ages which I definately love in a lipstick as there is nothing worse if you have to keep applying it every 5 minutes. The packaging also looks swish and expensive and I love the ends where you can see the colour without having to open it :)
Lastly I nipped into Argos and picked up a set of curling irons. If you follow me on instagram you will have seen the picture of my hair when I went out with the girls from work.
To achieve this I used a my curling wand which I have had a couple of years now and makes an appearance every now and again. However I find it really fiddly to do myself and my mum always ends up doing it for me. I was really happy with now my hair looked last night and want to start doing my hair like this more often and I figured it would be easier to using curling irons that a wand. The wand I picked up was the Essentials professional ceramic hair tong which i got for £14.99 from Argos. I will keep you updated as to how much I loving these.
Here is what I ordered:
Have you ordered anything from the Models Own Sale?? Which products are you loving??
As promised my lovely people here is a NOTD post for you. Now this photo by no means does this amazing polish justice! It looks amazing with so many different colours - I did a nail wheel with them on which i will share with you another day (my phone only lets me upload 1 picture to a blog post)
So after gazing at the nail wheel I finally went with this look. Models Own Ibiza Mix teamed with Barry M Foil in Silver.

What shades are you loving for Spring/Summer 2012???
- Barry M Shade 303 - Purple
- Models Own Juicy Jules
- Rimmel 239 - Your Majesty
Steps
- Always start with a base coat
- Paint your nails with the desired colour - in my case the purple.
- Wait for this to dry
- Use the Rimmel - Your Majesty to add "french manicure" tips on the end of your nails. This will just make the ends look darker under the glitter
- Once this is dry start to add the glitter in stages. Start by painting a coat about half way down the nail
- Then moving closer to the end of your nail tip add more glitter so the most glitter is at the tips of your nail.
Well this is my second nail art today. I had lovely purple nail with glitter tips on my ring finger for going out tonight however I smudged them all pulling my leggings up in a rush to get ready and then leaving do I should have been going to got cancelled due to the stupid snow! Its so deep here!! I haven't seen snow like this before! It better disappear because its my birthday in 4 days (although I am not going out until next Friday)
So I decided to settle down in my Pj's, a cup of Horlicks and take me out (that last guy! i mean seriously!) and decided to redo my nails!!
I think I did this on a nail wheel as a test a while back and I know I have expressed on a number of occasions how much I love this glitter nail polish!
Anyway this is Barry M Foil in Silver with Rimmel Disco Ball Glitter Top coat :)
Hey girlies. Sorry a lot of the posts at the moment are short posts or NOTD posts. With starting work this week and my laptop being daft atm I am blogging from my phone.
So this NOTD is a bit of pink glitter - as we all know i love a bit of sparkle.
The pink colour is Barry M shade 272 and the glitter is Rimmel gold glitter - i think its tag line is Rock your colour... Rimmel do some lovely glitter colours my favourite is still the disco ball which i love!
xx
Now we all love a bit of crackle - especially now its available in so many colours!!! And I am not one to miss out on any new nail varnish effects - and i have to say Barry M sorta lead the way on this! So when i found out about the new Croc style crackle that Barry M had brought out I was desperate to try it! I have to say I love the effect it gives, maybe a little bit more than the crackle!
I can't wait for it to come out in more colours (i hope it does)
what do you think???
