February
My lovely friends surprised me with a lovely birthday cake during lunch at uni
March
March consisted mostly of lots of essay writing. This photo was take at the library at uni during an open day - I stuck this on my laptop because all the perspective students and their parents kept staring at us :P

April
Me, mum and dad went on a day trip to Liverpool on a trip with the local hospital where my mum and dad work. They do these days out every so often and they are really good as you just pay for the coach which is usually quite cheap.
May
Believe it or not this was the only picture I could find for May. This was a birthday cake me and my friend made for the head of the department at the school I was on placement on. Making this cake started me off on cake making properly. Other than that May was a hectic month with PGCE stuff.
June
June was a "Wicked" month. For my Best Friends Birthday I paid for us to go to London for the day to see west end live. The concert itself took place in Trafalgar Square and was pretty amazing apart from the fact the weather was bad. Out of interest on the way to the concert me and my friend stopped off in Leicester Square to check out if there were any cheap tickets for any of the shows we were desperate to see and we ended up with tickets for the one show we both really wanted to see - Wicked! It was absolutely AMAZING!!!
July
In July my "little" brother turned 21 and we had a bit of a surprise get together for him. This is the birthday cake I made for him. He works at the Monkey Forest at Trentham as one of the guides and monkey themed things have just sort of become the norm for him :P
August
I LOVE days out. Especially days out with my family which usually consist of a bit of craziness! Here we are in the car having just arrived at Blackpool for a day out which involved lunch at coral island (which is tradition), walks on the beach and the pier and a visit to Tussauds.
September
At the start of this year me and my best friend Matt brought Annual Merlin Passes - since we like like 15 miles from Alton Towers we have certainly got our use out of them! Here we are outside Legoland. At the end of September we went for a 3 day mini break - the weekend we had the mini heatwave - we couldnt have dropped on better with the weather and we had lots of fun going to Legoland, Chessington WOA and Thorpe Park. I love Theme Parks so it was nice to go to some different ones.
October
In October Me and Matt went for another weekend away - This time to London. We had tickets to go and see Les Miserables on the Saturday night which was absolutely FANTASTIC and on the Sunday we also by chance ended up with front row tickets for the Wizard of Oz which again was FAB! I hope that there are lots more trips like this in 2012.
November
Another hospital coach trip. This time me and mum went to Manchester for the day to the Christmas Market and some girly time. I love girly time with mum and this was a lovely day out. We had lunch, shopped a bit, went for coffee. It was lovely.
December
Of course we have just had Christmas in December but I also graduated from my PGCE at the start of December. It was a lovely day, nice to see some of my friends who I havent seen since I finished in July and went for a lovely meal after with mum, dad, nanna and grandad to celebrate

I hope you all had a lovely christmas and havent all eaten yourselves into a diabetic coma with all the chocolate and sweeties!
I had a lovely christmas surrounded with family which I love. Christmas is all about family for me and although we all spend lots of time together anyway its always nice to be together at christmas too.
There have been a lot of blog posts floating round the blogasphere of people posting what people have had for christmas. So I thought I would share some things I had with you myself. I was a very lucky girl and had some lovely presents. I appologise that I didnt take the pictures myself. My camera is buried under a pile of clothes in my room which I seriously need to sort out :P
Soap and Glory Big Splendor Bag, Soap and Glory Beauty Box, OPI William Tell me about it and Yodel me on my Cell, Set of Professional Makeup Brushes, Rosies Pantry hand painted measuring cups, Umberto Gianianni Curl Set, Soap and Glory Scent-sationalism (Can you see a theme?), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 DVD, Minnie Mouse Vanity Case, The Great British Book of Baking.
Love my presents. I will do some review posts of the beauty things I have had. Particularly the OPI nail varnish (as this is my first try of it) and the soap and glory stuff :)

So this week has been quite a hectic and crazy week. Mum has been off work so spent lots of time together enjoying trips to the town along with nanna.
Thursday this week was graduation. I have been looking forward to Graduation because it would be nice to see all my friends from uni as since I finished my PGCE in July I hadnt seen some of them. I decided to wear a black dress I had brought a few christmas' ago for the work christmas do and teamed it with a pair of black patterned tights and after much deliberation finally decided on my red and cream heels. :)
On saturday me and my friend went into town to do a little bit of mooching around the shops, lunch, coffee and more mooching. I have been looking for a nice little black dress for a while now. I had exactly what I wanted in my head - isnt it weird how we do isnt it? We know exactly what we want and we are not happy unless we find eactly what we want. So yesterday when I was in town with my friend we went into new look and I spotted this beauty in New Look.
Picture from New Look Online
This is exactly what I was looking for. It comes just past my knee and had a little sleeve. It had a wrap top and ties at the back. I cant wait to wear this dress. I have been looking for a dress I could dress up or wear casual with either coloured tights or ones with patterns or with leggings, with high boots or with flats. And here it is. And a bargain at £22.99 - my little christmas treat to myself.
Also exciting news I have a job interview tomorrow :) Its not for a teaching job but for reception work at the hospital. Keep your fingers crossed for me because this could be just what I need. I could finally get out of the vicious circle I am in of Cant Drive - No money for lessons - No Job to get money - being held back because I cant travel. So I can finally start earning some pennies to save up for lessons and a car :)
I thought this would make a fun new feature for a Tuesdays - Tutorial Tuesday - I love to do nail art designs. I am hoping soon maybe to start doing tutorial videos on Youtube but thought that this would make a start. Therefore I will be posting a different nail art design every week :) So I give you - My first Tutorial Tuesday Post - Coloured Leopard Print Nails.
Ok so all you lovely observant people will have noticed that today is December 1st which means that christmas is just around the corner! I have seen quite a few people sharing christmas wish lists on their blogs. Heres some of my current wish list - not necessarily for christmas but in general :)
1. Some proper make up brushes - Obviously I have make up brushes that I have aquired over the years but I have asked Santa for a proper set of make up brushes :)
2. A new purse - I love these Kate Spade ones and Santa is getting me a new handbag for christmas - a lovely spotty one (in the style of the Cath Kidston satchel) so a new purse would be good
3. Killer Party Heels - I recently started to get into wearing heels. I have some gorge ones already but I do love these Kate Spade ones which I saw in a magazine but at nearly £300 I think these are out :P
4. OPI Rainbow Connection - I have seen quite a few blog posts from people who have brought this and can see myself ordering this on ebay before christmas gets here - since I dont know anywhere local that stocks OPI.
5. Glossy Box - Again I have seen a lot of people blogging about this and am half tempted to try but at the moment with money being tight I cant really afford the £10 a month. Maybe in the new year.
6. Vintage Poloriod Camera - Now I LOVE my SLR camera but I have a bit of a soft spot for Poloriods.
7. KitchenAid Mixer - I am currently saving for one of these from the money I make selling cakes. It may take a while but I seriously love them and want one
8. Make Up Storage - As I said Santa is bringing me a new handbag and I need a new bag for my handbag to keep my bits in, in my bag when I am out and about. Also a bigger bag for my at home makeup as the one I have at the moment is quite small. I love these from Soap and Glory and Ted Baker from Boots.
