Ok so I can't lie.. as years go 2016 has got to be up there at the top! In fact.. looking back at the photos I couldn't quite remember all the epic times this year has held! I think we could pretty much sum up this year as the year of the hen nights.. weddings and holidays! Prepare yourselves.. this post is going to be pretty photo heavy.. sit back.. grab a brew and enjoy..
Its weird.. this seems like such a longtime ago now! I almost forgot that we did this but in January we went back to the Harry Potter Studio tour where we got engaged. I brought Adam the tickets for Christmas last year as I thought it would be nice for us to go back and for him to enjoy the tour without him being nervous about the ring in his pocket. We had such a lovely time and it will always be a special place. It was great to go back as we got to see Hogwarts in the snow and also the Hogwarts express which wasn't there the last time we went.
Another Christmas present.. this time from Adams mum and dad... we went to Manchester to see the Strictly come dancing tour. As someone who has watched the show since it began it was amazing to see it in real life. Especially as we has amazing seats where the dancers actually came right in front of us.
April was the month of the hen do's - well 2 of them. The 2 photos on the top are from my 1950s hen party up in Sheffield where we had Cocktail making and a Salsa lesson and the one in the bottom is from a night out I had at a local hotel who hosted a charity wedding night where we went with the girls I work with. Both epic nights.
In May we jetted off for an all expenses paid 5* holiday to Mexico which Adam had worked very hard to win at work! I was unbelievably proud of him that he did this and we had an amazing week. We went snorkelling in the ocean, had many a party and spent the week by the most amazing beach! Defiantly what we needed pre wedding!
Another amazing month with amazing adventures! In September we went on our Honeymoon adventure. As we had done the whole 5 * holiday in May we decided that we wanted to do something different for our honeymoon so we booked 2 InterRail passes and off to Europe we went! 14 days of London, Paris, Venice, Florence, Pisa and Rome! It was the most brilliant adventure and we have so many beautiful memories.

The end of May marked the first of the 3 weddings we had his year when my cousin and his fiancé got married. It was such a beautiful day and got us all excited for our wedding!
June
June.. what a perfect month! I can't believe its been 6 months since this happened. The day was absolutely perfect. The photos are amazing and everything just felt so good.
August
August
The last of the years wedding came in August when my little brother married his girlfriend of 12 years - its about time we were all saying! They met at school and have been together ever since. It was so special to be part of their day!
September
Also in September I graduated from the course I had spent 12 months completing. I now have a post graduate certificate in Health Care Leadership which I feel really proud that I was able to complete while working full time and planning a wedding!
The end of the year has sort of flown by! I can't believe tomorrow will be New Years Eve! It doesn't seem 5 minutes ago since we were jumping up and down last year going OMG we are getting married this year!!!
What have been your highlights of 2016??
♥
Hello my lovelies!
I hope that you are all doing well. I can not believe that 2 months has passed since I sat and put finger to keyboard to chat to you all. This year is absolutely flying by, I can not believe that we are almost in December... It doesn't seem like 5 minutes since we sat playing pie face on New Year's Eve and here we are, nearly time for the festivities to begin again.
To be honest I think the break away from blogging has done me good. Life has been hectic as ever and I think with everything that has happened over the last 12 months... Grandad being really ill, planning a wedding, getting married, planning a honeymoon, my brother getting married, going on honeymoon it's just been too much and something had to give. To be honest, I posted a while back to say I was at a point with my blog that I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do any more or where I wanted to take it. However, I think the break has done me good. I have actually found myself over the last few weeks thinking about blogging, content and the like. I've not dipped out of the world all together - I've been over on Instagram so if you follow me on there (@mybeautifulforever) you will have seen what I have been up to (and what I've been eating haha).
So.. The last couple of months..
Well I had my graduation for my post grad course I was completing for the last year. I now hold a post graduate certificate in health care leadership. The graduation was very different and low key to what I have been used to but it was good that Adam got to see me graduate - especially with all the hard work I had to put in doing it and planning a wedding too!
To be honest, that is about it... I wish I has lots of exciting news to share... I'm getting my butt organised and will be back - regularly! I am in the process of working out how often and when I am going to post but I will let you know as soon as I decide - I am thinking Monday, Wedneday, Friday with maybe a bonus weekend on either day...
Thanks for sticking around... I hope we can continue to grow this little community and gain some new friends along the way too! Take care xxx

At the end of October, Grandad celebrated his 90th Birthday. The last 12 months have been a really tough time for us as a family, grandad has spent most of it away from home, either in hospital or respite care and was actually in hospital on the day of his birthday, however they did let us bring him out for a little party at home with cake and nibbles. He is back home now which is lovely however we have been hit again with a diagnosis of Alzheimer's and Vascular Dementia which has been really tough but we will pull together as a family as you do in these times.
(Isn't he just the cutest)

Hello my lovelies! How are we all?
Can you believe we are nearly in September! I cant quite believe how quickly this year is going! Its crazy! Hard to believe at the start of the year we were counting down to 3 weddings and now all 3 of them are over and done with!
My baby brother got married a week and a half ago and it was such a perfect day! The weather was absolutely beautiful. I absolutely loved the colour of the dresses Carrie chose for us to wear.
Just in the final preparations of getting everything sorted for our honeymoon now. We set off next weekend on our little European adventure and I am so excited! Just off to town now for a girly day with mum to pick up everything I need.
Short and sweet with the catch up today! Prepare yourselves for honeymoon posts and travel adventures..

Hello my lovelies!!!
How are we all?
Its been about 5 weeks since my last post - I have good reason though! We did it! We got married!
Everyone says your wedding day is one of the best days of your life! I honestly still can't believe its over. It was such an amazing day. Everything was perfect. Even the weather, which had been pants all of that week was good.
After the wedding we went down to Caister holiday park in Great Yarmouth which is where Adam and I met 17 years ago. Its weird.. I went to Caister for the last time about 10 years ago with Mum, Dad and my brother. It was probably one of the last holidays the 4 of us went on together before we were all grown up and I remember my dad saying as we drove down Great Yarmouth Sea Front on the way home, look around kids, we probably won't ever come here again. Never in a million years did I think I would be going back to there with my husband!
Not going to lie, I still havent got used to the fact I am someones wife! We have been married 3 weeks now and I still keep going to sign my maiden name! But I suppose when you spend 27 years as one person it takes some getting used to!
This weekend, I decided to have a bit of a change, something I had been toying with for a while. I decided to get my fringe cut into my hair! As I say I have toyed with the idea for a while and I could not be happier now Ive had it done :)

We have booked and sorted our honeymoon. We decided a while a go we wanted to go something different - something we wanted to do but wouldn't be able to do once we had kids. So when we asked friends and family for money for the wedding - we were overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone. We had more than enough money to do what we wanted. So in September, Adam and I will be spending 2 days in London, 3 days in Paris, 2 days in Venice, 2 days in Florence (with a day trip to Pisa) and 3 days in Rome! To say I am excited is an understatement!!!! If you have been to any of these places, tips most welcome! All the hotels and transport are booked and I have booked Wicked Tickets for London and the top of the Eiffel tower for Paris.
Adventure Awaits!

Omg omg omg!!! Can you believe our wedding is just 2 weeks away! I can't actually believe how quickly it is all coming around. Its doesn't seem like 5 minutes since I wrote this post.
All the last minute bits are coming together now, my dress fitting (only 1 more to go which is where I pick my dress up!), favours, finalising all the plans! Aghhh! Exciting!
Mexico was absolutely fantastic. Signet really did spoil us! Heres the hotel we stayed in!
On Wednesday we went to my cousins wedding which was amazing. Such a lovely day. It defiantly got us excited for our big day now!
I also found out on Wednesday that I passed my course!!! I am not gonna lie, it was a difficult 12 months but I am so glad I got to the other side. I am very relieved that I passed because I worked myself up to the point where I was sure I had failed! I defiantly think I am done studying for a while now!
So the next couple of weeks are likely to be pretty hectic but I will be sure pop on when I can! :)

When we first looked at pricing up the different things for the wedding I knew straight away that I wanted to do my own makeup. I did toy with the idea of getting a make up artist in for the day however when I looked at the prices it wasn't something I felt I wanted to justify.
You all know how much I love makeup and to be honest the idea of researching and shopping for makeup excited me. When I started looking at ideas for wedding makeup, I decided to ask my friends and family for gift vouchers for my birthday in February and decided on Debenhams.
So heres the top tips I picked up on for wedding makeup:
You all know how much I love makeup and to be honest the idea of researching and shopping for makeup excited me. When I started looking at ideas for wedding makeup, I decided to ask my friends and family for gift vouchers for my birthday in February and decided on Debenhams.
So heres the top tips I picked up on for wedding makeup:
- Avoid SPF - obviously if your getting married outside this is going to be something you want to consider however SPF causes flash back on photographs which causes you to look white washed - not what you want on your wedding day.
- Shop around - I did a lot of research into different products. Most high end beauty counters will offer you a sample of things like Foundation which is great to take away and try at home with any other products you may have.
- Wear White - If you are going to beauty counters to have a trial for ideas, wear a white tshirt. Your going to be wearing white on your big day and it will give you an idea of what its going to look like.
- Go Outside - Again if your having a trial done in a department store go outside and have a wonder around before you commit to anything. Department stores often have florescent lighting which can make your makeup look completely different. Go and have a look in the natural light.
- Dont rush into anything - I have done a lot of research into different looks, different styles, different products. I wanted to look into lots of ideas before I settled on one thing. Don't be afraid to shop around. It would be quite easy to go into a department store and get everything from one stand when actually different brands have different products which work well together.
I will of course share my makeup from the day with you... but no sneak peeks! Sorry Girls!

Right ok.. how is it the 1st May already! This year is going wayyyy too fast. I can not believe it. Its weird, everyone said to me that once christmas was over it would go really fast on the countdown to the wedding but naive little me didn't believe that for a second! I thought it would drag but they were right! I can't even believe its 48 days until we get married! 48 days! Thats 6 weeks and 6 days! Aghhh!!!
I'm so excited. Everything is starting to come together now. I have a to do list the size of my arm but I am surprisingly chilled about the whole thing.
Since I finished my course I've been getting round to do a lot of things, including organising my blog. I especially want to start blogging the lead up to the wedding. I've finally (after years of laziness) started to get my skin care in check and have been organising make up. I've been trying new products, rediscovering old ones and I am finally at a point where I have wanted to sit down and actually write about things.
I have also started to discover more about the business. I have loved discovering all about what this business can offer and for someone who loves discovering new products it is perfect! I have been using some of the products on a regular basis now and can really see what an amazing difference they have made! More about that soon.
Its only 17 days until we go to Mexico (still not started packing), we still only know where we are staying and have no idea about flights etc but hopefully we should find that out this week! Not gonna lie its making me twitchy! :)
Anyway, you should start to see me a bit more now! I have things plotted so keep your eyes peeled. Hope you guys are all ok. Fill me in on your gossip.

How is it even November already? It only feels like 5 minutes ago since we were welcoming in the new year and here we are with just 60 days left in the year...
Recently the lovely Lindsey whose blog My Dolce Vita I have followed and loved for a long time, through weddings and both her beautiful babies being born and growing up. She recently started up a new blog over at A Lindsey Christmas Story - I am so glad she is back blogging again because I love reading about her precious life and watching her babies grow into beautiful young children.
Lindsey restarting her blog has inspired me. She said in her first post in her new blog something which I have brushed on several times. I just want to write. I want to document and be able to look back and smile. This next year is the start of a very fun a venture and I want to document the ride.
Adam and I have been making some exciting plans! We have plotted out what we are going to do for our honeymoon - were planning on going on a little european adventure - Starting in London then going to Paris, Venice, Florence and Rome! I am so excited.
Lots of little details are getting sorted for the wedding now. We think we have chosen hymns and picked the people we want to do readings. Its all coming together now.
I can't believe its counting down to christmas again! It really does not seem like 5 minutes ago since we were shopping for our first christmas tree last year. I love the lead up to Christmas - Christmas markets, Nights snuggled up in front of the fire under a blanket with a candle burning (who am I kidding - take away the blanket and thats me all year haha), we have been doing christmas music in choir practice for a few weeks now and I love the services at church around christmas! All very exciting!
So my plan is to be back. I still want to talk about make up and beauty.. about life.. health (I have been trying lots of new recipes recently) and everything else that tickles my pickle. I am going to really try to make the last 2 months of blogging better that the rest of the year, which lets face it I have been pants!
Thank you for sticking with me for the ride. I hope you will stay on the roller coaster - I promise it will be more interesting!

Hello my lovelies.
Once again, another month has nearly passed and life is continuing to be hectic!
Since I last sat down and wrote a post its been another mental few weeks so I thought I would sit down and catch you up on the craziness - especially which has gone on over the past week.
So one quite major thing which happened is that we have a new addition to our family - no I haven't kept a pregnancy secret from you all - we increased our fluffy family :)

Meet little Albus. We have had him a week and we are so much in love already! Bella and Luna have settled down now (they were a bit sheepish at first). He is 9 weeks old and is a crazy little nutter. Adam has wanted a ginger cat for so long and when we saw him online we both fell in love.
Last week I was off work and we had a complete wedding week. On Monday I met with a couple of florists and got the flowers sorted for the wedding. On Tuesday me and Adam went and met with the lady who was doing our chair covers and added the table decorations - I was SO impressed with the lady. When we booked the chair covers at the wedding fayre we went to last year and we never got to meet Sarah the owner. I was seriously happy with her when we met on Tuesday. She had so many good ideas with what we wanted! I am so excited!
Then on Wednesday the MOST exciting thing happened!!!
I SAID YES TO THE DRESS!!!
We had scheduled the appointments and Adams Mum (second left next to me) came down from Sheffield and we headed off along with my mum (far right) and my Nanna - next to mum.
The first shop we went to were lovely. I tried on a dress I had previously tried on at the Wedding Fayre in Manchester last October and instantly fell in love again and despite the fact we went to 2 other shops and I tried about 20 other dresses on it just didn't match up to the first one and I went back and ordered it!!! I am so excited and I can't believe I have finally found it.
On Thursday afternoon, Mum and I went up to Sheffield with Wendy as on Friday we had a Mac Makeover! I have wanted one for agggges and it was an absolutely amazing experience!
I absolutely loved how they did my eyes. Not quite what I had in mind as was looking at wedding looks however I loved the colours. A little too dramatic but I picked the colours up and am hoping I can do something less dramatic. It was so lovely though and defiantly something I would recommend.
So I think thats me all caught up! I hope your all ok! Catch me up on your gossip!

Its weird.. for a couple of weeks now I have been feeling a little anxious about the neglect I have been giving my little blog. Yesterday while I was procrastinating I pulled up the main page of my blog and notices that in 2015 so far I had only written 26 blog posts and that pang of guilt came back again.
I dont know why I do this to myself. I have never been one of those people who felt like I was blogging to a massive audience but there is something even with a small audience like I have that just makes you feel guilty when you leave it so long.
Anyway today this post popped up on to my time hop - LINK - that I had written exactly 1 year to the date last year and it brought in some perspective for me. Dont get me wrong I absolutely LOVE my blog and there is no way I just want it to die away in a corner. I want to use it as a way of looking back and documenting things. On the flip side of that my life has suddenly in the last 18 months gone from me living at home with my mum and dad worrying about which nail polish I was going to buy next (ok so not really but you get the gist) to having a house, a husband to be, planning a wedding, starting a post graduate certificate with the open university, paying bills, cooking, cleaning, running our own business, looking after 2 cats plus all my other commitments like Guides (soon to also be Rainbows and Brownies), Church, Choir.... my head spins just thinking about it all. So you know what I think I need to just take a second and think hang on! My life is pretty mental!
Like I say I do not want to forget about my blog because I love it. Its a way of me to talk about girly stuff Adam doesnt want to hear about, document all the plans for the wedding that we can look back on as well as being an awesome community that I want to be a part of!
Since we last caught up at the beginning on July when we had just got back from America. July and August have just seemed to go by in a flash! Heres a quick overview...
I think that's about it! It doesnt sound a lot but add in a couple of weekends where we have been up to Sheffield visiting etc and its just been mental!
I am going to try and make a bit more time in my mental life for Blogging now! I have recently got an Ipad with 4G so hopefully I can do some on the move! I want to keep this updated with wedding plans and our lives - I have a week of in a few weeks and its all weddings including dress shopping and Mac Makeovers!!!
Hope you are all well!!!

- I have spent most of what little free time I have working on an assignment I never thought I was going to get done,
- I have been offered a 3 month promotion at work which is awesome!
- Adam and I launched our business and although I haven't had a lot of time to work on the business itself, I have been using the products which are AMAZING! So keep your eyes peeled for some reviews on those!
- I booked a mini moon as a surprise for Adam - back to the holiday camp we met 16 years ago in Great Yarmouth - we are going there on the Monday after we get married
- We have planned (we think) our Honeymoon which we are going to go on in September next year (lots of weddings next year including my brother in August so spreading it out) and we think we are going to go backpacking round Europe
- Its only 41 weeks and 4 days till we get married!

Ok, lets just ignore what a bag blogger I have been over the past few weeks and have a catch up!
Since we got back from Florida, life has been SO hectic!
We decided once we got from holiday we would start up again with the planning for the Wedding since it was 12 months the day we got back until we got back. We has previously arranged for the Theatre we are having our reception at to do our Save the Dates and we had already had a sample through of what they would be like which were fab so the day we got back I emailed Jackie who is sorting everything for us and she got them printed. When they arrived we were SO excited! We sat one Friday night for about 3 hours jazzing up the envelopes as when we looked online the coloured ones we wanted were ridiculously expensive. So we improvised. We decided to use our thumb prints in the colours just to make it different.
We had also decided once we came back from America that our not so little girls would go on their first adventure outside!!! We thought they were starting to look really big until they got outside where they looked TINY!!! They absolutely love it though and love being off exploring!
Last week, my mum turned 50, and unknown to her I had been planning a surprise party since about the middle of May. Im amazed we actually managed to keep it a secret! It was fab though! Especially since one of her friends from school who she hadn't seen in 30 years came up from London for the day!
Me and Adam also decided that we were going to join the gym when we got back and that we did. I picked up myself a pair of florescent pink trainers in America just for he occasion. I'll do a separate post about the gym and stuff probably in a couple of weeks so keep your peepers peeled for that!
Thats about it for my gossip caught up with! How are you all!?!?!

I was SO excited when a couple of weekends ago me and mum jumped on the train to Manchester where we met up with my future mother in law and headed off to Manchester Central for the National Wedding Show.
I brought the tickets wayyyy back in August just after we got engaged after seeing it advertised online and I planned the day like a military operation so that our train from Stoke got into Manchester the same time as Wendy (the future MIL) from Sheffield! Unfortunately Wendy missed her train (long story) and we had to wait but it was all good!
The day itself was fantastic. I had never been to Manchester Central before but it was a gorgeous venue. We wandered around all the stalls where there was a variety of different people including invitations, photographers, cake makers, dresses. I tried a couple of dresses on from a shop which was actually local to me who I knew were going and who had the Alfred Angelo Disney dresses available to try on - if you have not seen these click here and fall in love.

Sat having afternoon tea
Soooo yummy
Once we had afternoon tea we wandered around some more and I tried a couple more dresses on - one of which I fell in love with - completely not what I thought i wanted (but then that is always what they say) but thats all the details your getting!!!
Overall we had a fantastic day - there were some good stalls there and some good talks throughout the day. However one thing I was a little disappointed with is that it was claimed as a National wedding show and yet 99% of the people there were from Manchester or norther.
This would have probably been fab to go to if you were from Manchester or if you have nothing booked for your wedding but for us, everything is more or less sorted. I was hoping that there would be more people there doing table decorations or such - the only person of any sort like that was a very rude lady who ran a flower stall who seemed outraged when I said I was allergic to flowers - a total difference to the lady I met at a Wedding fayre this week who explained not all flowers have a scent (apparently dutch roses don't) which was fab to know!
I had a great day - I wouldn't go to this again next year but we definitely had a nice day out and was nice to spend time with not just my mum but Adams mum too :)
