I knew when I went to America that they had some fab deals on cosmetics and some brands which were not available in the UK which made me quite excited as last time we went to Florida, I wasnt all up on the make up scene etc. Here are some of the bits I picked up - it looks here like it is all nail polish but there are some bits here that are not on here.
- American Apparel Nail Polishes - $15
- Sally Hansen Nail Polish Pens - $9
- Sinful Colour Nail Polishes - $1.99
- OPI Polish in Princesses Rule - $11
- Wet and Wild Glitter Polish (next to the sinful colours at the bottom) - $1.99
- Revlon glitter - $6
- Cover girl brown eyeliner - $5 (I think)
- Essie Top and Base Coat - $8
- EOS lip balm - $4 - I picked up 2 of these the other one is in my hand bag
I also picked up a few other bits which are currently in my make up bag - a couple of the 24 hour creme eye shadows in like a pale purple which I believe is limited edition and a nice whitey silver - both of which i dont think we have over here yet. I also got a L'oreal Telescopic brown eyeliner which I haven't ever seen here either. I picked up about 3 or 4 mascaras too but i will probably do a separate post on those too because they are still in my case (which I need to properly unpack). I also have the Mac Paint pot that I picked up at Manchester Airport - that is in the shade Bare Study. I also picked up one of the Its a 10 hair leave in hair product which i know Fleur over at fleur de force raves about all the time!
So far I am loving the EOS lip balm - I had heard good things about why I picked them up. I have also used the OPI a couple of times which I love too. Again I will probably do a separate post on that too to show you how pretty it is!
I know there seems quite a bit here but when things are the same price here in pounds as they are over there in dollars it seemed daft not to pick up some bits while I was there. I will do separate posts on things as I start using them.

OK so this post may be a little late but I wanted to share with you my favourites of 2012...
What have been your beauty highlights for 2012?
- Lee Stafford Hair Treatment - £7.99 - I love this product, it makes my hair feel amazing and I feel like it has grown more since I have been using it - Review here
- Soap and Glory Cosmetics, Trick and Treatment Concealer - £9 and Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss Sticks - £8 - Again I have been loving these. I am not a massive fan of lip sticks as I find them drying but I love these as they give a colour which lasts for hours.
- Illamasqua Pure Pigment in Beguile - £15.50 - If you follow Louise at Sprinkle of Glitter on her blog or youtube channel then you will know how much she loves this. I brought this on her recommendation. This is such a nice eye shadow, perfect for christmas or a night out. It is so pigmented (as you would expect from the name) and this one is such a nice sparkly shade.
- Lush Snow Fairy - from £3.25 - This to me smells like Lush in a bottle - This is such a fantastic smell. Its such a shame this is only avaliable at Christmas but I stocked up to last me!
- OPI Polishes - I'm all Ears and You only live twice - £11 - These 2 were my first OPI purchases (the others I have were gifts). I love these, I can see why people rave about these.
- Benefit Hello Flawless foundation - £24.50 - I started using this towards the end of 2012 and I am completely in love. It is such a fantastic foundation. It feels so light on my skin and allows skin to breath as well as giving a great coverage - Review here
- Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish - £14.25 - This has been my favourite product find of 2012. I only started again using this in late 2012 but I am in love and have already taken advantage of Liz Earle Christmas offers to repurchase it.
- Sally Hansen Insta Dry - £5.99 - You all know how much I love to change my nail polish lots and this product makes it so quick and easy to do this! - Review here
- Real Techniques Brushes - £20ish - This has been my joint find in 2012. I really got into using make up more this year and I have seriously extended my make up brush collection this year. These brushes are my all time favourites.
- Accessorise Lovely Day Palette - £8.99 - This has been my go to palette this year. It has all the colours I use in and I love that they are all in one place - what more can you ask for!
- Mac Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle - £21.50 - My first Mac purchase has been a complete and utter success. I am so in love with this product. It has slipped right into my make up routine and I am loving using it!
- Benefit Porefessional - £23.50 - Again something else I discovered in late 2012 but again something I love. This makes my make up look so much better and I am really loving using it.
I really feel like I
have found my make up self in 2012. I have tried so many different
products and have really found some ones I love. I cant wait to keep
discovering new things in 2013.
What have been your beauty highlights for 2012?
Have you ever experienced that problem where your going out and you spent that long doing your face and your hair you rush to your nails and then smudge them pulling up your tights and end up taking them off anyway and going out with naked nails.. Now come on I know its not just me!!
I have discovered a miracle product!!! It comes from the lead in the field, the nail goddess, Sally Hansen and is the Insta-Dri nail varnish. Now you know me and quick drying products, I am skeptical at first until I have given them a go... Well I can honestly say that I totally LOVE this product.
I brought this product from Superdrugs. It is currently on offer for £3.99 (usually £4.99) and is absolutely amazing. All you do is paint on your nail varnish, wait a moment and then paint this over the top. Wait about I would say 5 minutes and your good to go... Pull your tights up, do you whatever. It completely dries your nails! You honestly cant believe how good this product is until you have tried it! If your the sort of person who doesnt like waiting around for your varnish to dry, get some of this! Even at £4.99 this is a total bargain and totally worth it!
