No Longer a Mac Virgin!

If you follow me on Instagram then you will already have seen this! When I went to London I was seriously disappointed that I couldnt mooch around the Mac stand is Selfridges because of all the people and also I wasnt really impressed with the attitude of the staff (I think they thought because I was wet and look bedraggled that I wasnt intending on purchasing - they only seemed intrested in the dry, skinny model looking people - I could write a wholllllllle seperate post on this)

Anyway I have been lusting over Mac for a while. Its probably one of the most famous high end beauty brands out there and comes with a hefty price tag. There isnt a Mac stand near where I live and I dont think you get the best idea of purchasing cosmetics online unless you are repurchasing something...

On Monday I went into Manchester to do a spot of Christmas Shopping and I wandered into Selfridges heading for the Illamasqua stand intent on having a look and purchasing Android, one of their pure pigments I had spotted online, I purchased Beguile when I went to London and was in love with it - if I can catch the magic on camera I will, and I fancied the Android for Christmas. You can use this pigments both dry and wet. Head on over to the Illamasqua website as they have great moving swatches of the products HERE.

Right next to the Illamasqua stand in Selfridges in Manchester is the Mac Stand and there was about 2 people mooching around, so I took my chance and had a good look!
I decided to pick up Mac's Mineralize Skin Finish in the shade soft and gentle. I have heard a lot of things about this product across the blogging community, most recently by Zoe at Zoella in one of her videos.
This was £21.50 and is for 10g. It reminds me a little of the Sugar Bomb which I picked up from Benefit a few weeks ago, not so much in the colouring but in the effect it gives, a little bit of colour with a bit of highlight. In fact you get more in the Mac product and it is cheaper as the Benefit product is £23.50 for 8g of product.

When I start using this (and the Illamasqua Android) I will be sure to do a proper review of these but for now I am definately excited to try this and maybe some more Mac products in the future.

For anyone who uses Mac what products can you recommend???
