I am sure if you read a lot on the old blogesphere then you will have seen this challenge knocking around on the different blogs. If you haven't, allow me to explain it to you...
The people over at MoneySupermarket are offering bloggers the chance to experience one of those little win situations. Have you ever come to put on your summer coat to find £20 in the pocket - no me neither but it would be nice wouldn't it! Well this is what the lovely people at MoneySupermarket are liking it to! They have been contacting bloggers around the web and giving them £20 and basically having a nosey at what they would choose to spend it on.
When MoneySupermarket contacted me about joining in with this "little win" project then I knew straight away what I was going to spend my money on. This week one of the girls in our office retired and I had said I would make her a retirement cake. So as soon as they contacted me I decided to use this £20 to buy the things to make the cake with so off to Sainsburys I went.
Have you taken part in MoneySupermarket £20 challenge??? Link your post below if you have. I would love to see how different people spent their "lucky win".

Here you can see the bits I got with my £20, basically some items for making a cake, your usual flour, eggs, sugar etc as well as some icing and colours to make it look a bit funky.
And here is the finished cake...
Now I do make cakes so I already had some of the bits like some of the other colours I needed but I brought the bulk of what I needed with the £20. I am SO happy with how the cake turned out. If you cant tell, my friend likes gardening and now she is retired plans to spend her time going on cruises and doing some gardening to fill up part of her time hence the design. She absolutely loved the cake!!!

Hello my lovelies! Happy new year! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year. I had a lovely one, it was quiet but lovely and I was a very lucky girl.
I wanted to look forward to this year! I am feeling really positive about 2013. I really feel like it is going to be my year! I have some epic things planned so far to look forward to. Me and Matt are going to London at the end of this month and in May we have booked to go to Florida again! I cant wait for that! I haven't been abroad since me and Matt last went to Florida in 2009 and damn it I need some sunshine!!!
In keeping with the tradition of the new year, I have of course made some new years resolutions which I wanted to share with you.
- Weight Loss - I know if I put my mind to it I can lose weight, I have proved it! And I really love slimming world and I know it works! I dont want this blog to become about weight loss but I will share my journey on here with you in the form of any recipes that I do or anything I am loving and my progress as well. I dont just want to lose weight I want to become healthy and fit too! I am going to start going for walks when the weather gets a bit lighter at night too - theres nothing better than putting your music on and pounding the pavements! However when you come home from work at 5 and its pitch black then it doesnt inspire... I also wouldnt mind joining the gym again but I think this is something I am going to weigh up the cost of... maybe when I come back from my holiday I will join completely, however my local gym also does a pay and go option so I may try that first and see how many times I go!
- Be a better blogger - I love my little blog, its my place on the internet I can share with you all my loves - I am sure my friends and family in the "real world" dont want to sit and hear about shiny products and how much I love them... I havent been the best blogger I can be, I need to nurture my baby again! I want you all to love listening to me as much as I do talking...
- Give YouTube another go - Well, Its not that I stopped giving it a go... I have recorded so many videos and then just not got round to editing them and putting them up! I need to stop it, if I record a video I need to put it up!
Have you got any new years resolutions this year? Are you sticking to them or have you broken them already?
If you fancy sharing your new years resolutions this year then check out this blog post from the lovely Sarah at The road to being a yummy mummy who is running a competition called on her blog at the moment with the people over at Money Supermarket.com as part of their Get Fit, Feel Epic campaign. Check out her blog post which I have linked above. Also check out the Get Fit, Feel Epic website HERE which had a fab little tool that shows you how much you could save each year by cutting down on some of the things you buy (Cigarettes, Alcohol, Fast Food). Its quite amazing! And I have to say as a gadget lover, the Zip which you can win in the competition sounds fantastic - you have got to love a bit of get fit tech!
So as part of my New years resolution, I shall be back at some point over the weekend...
