So as promised, I thought I would share with you my favourites of the past year. 2014 was a pretty whirlwind year with so many exciting things happening! Warning this post WILL be photo heavy!!!
Probably the best thing about 2014 is getting to spend the year with this amazing boy! I literally feel like we have been together forever (although we have been friends forever)
Im sure you can guess what this is all about! Right in front of the castle at Harry Potter Studio Tour, Adam got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife.

Picking up the keys to our first home!!!
After everything that happened with Dad in March, me and mum should have been going to Chester for Afternoon Tea for Mothers Day but unfortunately we couldn't go so we celebrated at home instead.
Packing the car after our trip to Ikea - Tetris Champions!!!
Packing up my room at mum and dads, Pepper decided she wanted to help!
We celebrated our first night sleeping in our new home (where we literally just had a bed and a couple of other bits of furniture) we had no sofa and so spent the night on camping chairs but we made it work!
Spent a fab 2 weeks in Ibiza with Mum and Dad

These 2 little additions to our family have brought us nothing but joy and laughter this year!!!
We went to a family party where we all dressed up as different characters. Adam and I went as Micky and Minnie.
In September we went to Centre Parcs with Adams Family. A fab 5 days and I even got to get all outdoorsy and ride a trike - Seriously i need one of these!!!
We then spent a lovely weekend up in Sheffield with Adams family. I got to meet new addition Edward (Teddy) on the right who is Adams Best Friends little boy and absolutely gorgeous and spent the entire weekend running round after Jacob (Adams Nephew)
For the first time in my life I carved a pumpkin!!
We celebrated by putting our Christmas tree up!
Eeeeek - Went to the Good Food Show and Met Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry
We celebrated with our normal family tradition of Christmas Breakfast at Toby Carvery on the Saturday before Christmas - just the 4 of us complete with Christmas Jumpers!
We had a lovely christmas day and I was spoilt by the boy <3 Just a couple of my presents!
I cooked turkey and Christmas dinner for everyone and didn't kill anyone!
We ended our new year by spending the 2 days (NYE and NYD) with Adams family up in Sheffield - the alcohol flowed and we had an absolutely fantastic time!
And that in a nutshell is my 2014! What a year!!! I can't wait to see what 2015 holds :)

So yesterday me and the boy decided to jump in the car and drive the 10 minute ride to one of the local wedding venues just outside of Newcastle (under lyme not the up north one) called Slaters. Now obviously we have got our wedding venue booked so we didn't go with a view to going to look at it in terms of the venue, but one the other things that Slaters has to offer is it is also a craft village with a big emphasis on weddings.
The craft village itself is lovely. It has lots of little shops and reminds me very much of an old style village layout but it is actually located inside one of the barns. They have different little boutique shops with Dresses, Photographers, Jewellers, people doing fascinators and venue dressers.
As I say we decided to go basically on a whim. I knew I wanted to at least go and have a look at Slaters on the basis that I like to get lots of ideas. We went to the wedding fair last week and I knew one of the people we had seen but not spoken to was also based there.
We had a mooch around the little shops, in particular I wanted to have a look at the venue dresser who I also knew did a button bouquet which I had seen last week but not been able to get a price of. Needless to say I shall be looking online as they started at £200 but at least now I know.
The good thing is with getting so organised early we are collecting lots of ideas and looking to see if we can do things cheaper or source them from different places.
While at Slaters we also decided to try their tea room. I had a lovely Jacket Potato with Beans and Cheese while Adam had a Ham and Cheese Baguette. I then had a scone while Adam chose to have a piece of Chocolate Cake.

We had an absolutely lovely afternoon and I would definitely recommend a look around Slaters if your getting married.
