The lovely people at money supermarket sure know how to run a good competition and this one is no exception! They are offering one lucky blogger the chance to win £1,000 to put towards crossing off something on their bucket list, and four more runners up will win £50! If that wasn't already generous enough, if they get over 50 entries, the grand prize will be doubled to £2,000!
To enter, you just have to write a blog post describing one budget bucket list item, and one extravagant one; so here is my entry!
Budget bucket list:
Im pretty sure it is every girls dream to looks good in a little black dress. I have struggled with my weight most of my life and have always been the "big one" out of my friends. My bucket list was written a good few years ago and I knew beating my weight battle would feature on it but father than putting it on as just lose weight I decided to tie the little black dress into it. I want to find the perfect little black dress that all girls wish for but not only that I want to be happy with it. If I won £50 I would treat myself to a LBD in a size I would like to be at the end of my journey. Not only would it be a treat to go out in when I hit my target but it would focus myself on my journey to getting there. I'm 2 and a half stone lighter so far and am on a total mission! I particularly love this one and this one.
Extravagant bucket list:
I'm sure a lot of people have some kinds of travel plan on their bucket list and I'm afraid I am going to be really unoriginal and say the same. There are so many different travel plans on my bucket list but if i won £1000 I would pack a backpack, book an interrail train multi ticket and cover all the Europe based items on my list... Here is what I would tick off
- go on the Eurostar
- travel first class
- go to the top of the Eiffel Tower
-see the Mona Lisa in the louvre
- see the leaning tower of Pisa
- throw a coin in the trevi fountain
- visit St. Peter's square
- see the remains of the Berlin Wall
- see the acropolis
Also I have a couple of random things on my list I would tick off along the way. I really want to make proper pasta and what better place to learn than in the home of pasta, Italy!
Forget just ticking off one thing! Why not use it to make the most of a fantastic opportunity and tick off lots of things! One of my friends went travelling recently and I have loved looking at their pictures on Instagram of all the amazing places they have seen.
I am sure if you read a lot on the old blogesphere then you will have seen this challenge knocking around on the different blogs. If you haven't, allow me to explain it to you...
The people over at MoneySupermarket are offering bloggers the chance to experience one of those little win situations. Have you ever come to put on your summer coat to find £20 in the pocket - no me neither but it would be nice wouldn't it! Well this is what the lovely people at MoneySupermarket are liking it to! They have been contacting bloggers around the web and giving them £20 and basically having a nosey at what they would choose to spend it on.
When MoneySupermarket contacted me about joining in with this "little win" project then I knew straight away what I was going to spend my money on. This week one of the girls in our office retired and I had said I would make her a retirement cake. So as soon as they contacted me I decided to use this £20 to buy the things to make the cake with so off to Sainsburys I went.
Have you taken part in MoneySupermarket £20 challenge??? Link your post below if you have. I would love to see how different people spent their "lucky win".

Here you can see the bits I got with my £20, basically some items for making a cake, your usual flour, eggs, sugar etc as well as some icing and colours to make it look a bit funky.
And here is the finished cake...
Now I do make cakes so I already had some of the bits like some of the other colours I needed but I brought the bulk of what I needed with the £20. I am SO happy with how the cake turned out. If you cant tell, my friend likes gardening and now she is retired plans to spend her time going on cruises and doing some gardening to fill up part of her time hence the design. She absolutely loved the cake!!!
