I have been doing soooo well with not buying any make up bits but when I went into town there were a couple of things I wanted/needed to pick up.
Tony and Guy Salt Spray 75ml - £2.19
L'Oreal Ever Sleek Shampoo - £5.99 - Boots - Currently £3.99
Turbie Hair Towel - £1 - Wilkinsons
MUA Brozer (Shade 2) - £1 - Superdrugs
Maybeline Concealer - £6.19 - Boots
Maybeline Chromatics Eyeliner in Teal - £4.49 - Boots
Maybeline Chromatics Eyeliner in Purple - £4.49 - Superdrug
Maybeline 24 hour colour tattoo in Pink Gold - £4.99 - Boots
Umberto Gianni Silky Curls Smoothing Balm - Boots
Umberto Gianni 3 day frizz free spray - Boots
Umberto Gianni 2 for £8 at Boots
Maybeline currently 3 for 2 in Boots
I was desperate for a new concealer and when I went into Boots I spotted the Maybeline stuff on 3 for 2. I had seen the new Maybeliene Chromatics eye liners and I was particularly in love with the Teal one - I have a collection one which I love but is nearly running out. I decided to pick up the 3 for 2 and the Teal eyeliner and Maybeline's 24 hour concealer fell into my basket. I also decided to pick up (another) one of the 24 hour colour tattoos in Pink Gold. I love these and have been wearing these quite a lot especially in the hot weather as they stay put. I have been lusting after this colour for a few weeks. I also picked up the Purple eyeliner too as I loved the colour of it. I picked this up from Superdrugs as they didnt have it in Boots.
A couple of the other things I picked up are just standard things I needed. I spotted the shampoo on offer and thought I would give it a worth. The hot weather had been making my hair particularly frizzy atm so i picked up the one for Frizzy Hair.
The little salt spray I picked up from Boots is for my gym bag. I took this on holiday and really like it so I figured I would pick another one up to use on my hair post shower at the gym.
I will keep you updated on how I am loving the products. I wore the teal eyeliner yesterday and I can say I am already loving it. I can definitely see this is going to be a staple in my make up bag.
Have you tried any of these new products? What are you loving?
On a trip to Superdrugs this weekend, I did so well, I got as far as the till without a nail polish in my basket and darn it if Superdrugs didnt have the new MUA rebranded polishes right there by the till in their pretty new essie style packages! And I spotted this colour I could not resist!
This is the shade Moody Mink. It is such a nice dusty lilac colour. The MUA bottles have really rebranded themselves and remind me so much of the Essie bottles. In fact this shade reminds me of an Essie Shade - whose name escapes me..
These polishes are lovely! They retail for just £1 and the consistency is amazing. It is lovely and goes on really well and was opaque in just 1 coat. Especially for the money, usually you get cheap nail polishes you find they are really sheer and need about 20 coats to get this opaque. I also found the brush really good too and it isnt all spraggly which you sometimes find with cheap polishes. I have seen some other ones of these polishes online and they have some lovely colours so I will defiantly be keeping my peepers peeled for them!
Have you tried these? What do you think?

I haven't done one of these for a while so I thought I would share one with you today. I am afraid the actually picture of me isn't that good - I always seem to struggle to take a good picture of myself. Anyway enough rambling, here it is...
As you can see you can't really get a proper idea of it but you can get the general gist.. basically I went for a really simple face and a nude coloured eye. Here is the products that I used:
Firstly seriously how many Real Techniques brushes do I have! Although to be fair they are amazing and affordable which is why I love them, plus the quality is great. I am really loving the Urban Decay palette at the moment. It has been my go to palette every day since I brought it I think - my other shadows will probably be feeling neglected. I am also loving the new Rimmel Mascara. I will do a separate review on both of these but so far so good :)

If you saw my post from last weekend you will have seen that last Saturday (not the one just gone) when I was in town I managed to pick up the MUA constellation beads in Gemini. I have seen loads about these on the internet and I am always excited to try new things so I thought I would give them a bash. I wasnt overly convinced about the wear of this so I tested them on my mum - she cant wear nail polish for work - she is a nurse - so I put them on Saturday afternoon, just on the ring finger and just on the tip like a french manicure!
I was really impressed with it and it stayed on really well, and my mum is always doing something so her nails come into contact with a lot of things. She found herself having to take most of it off on Sunday night.
Seeing how fab they had come out on my mums nails, I thought I would give them a try on my own nails, so on Saturday I sat down and decided to do it across all of my ring finger like I had seen so many other people doing online.
They looked really well when I first did them, when I first did them. However things started to go wrong pretty much straight away. When I put the top coat on about 1/2 an hour after putting them on - the colours started to run away from the beads. Thinking maybe they just needed time to settle a bit more, I removed the finger it happened on (luckily I hadnt done both fingers straight away) and started again.
When I got up yesterday morning I noticed that half of the beads on my right hand had come off!!! I mean I hadnt exactly done them and then gone straight to bed! But I just topped them up and went off to church!
As the day went on, more and more of the beads appeared to have dropped off... The ones on my right hand have dropped off terribly and started to pull the polish off and the ones on my left have lost all of their colour!!!

Left hand on the left, right hand on the right
I am SO disappointed with this product. To be honest this is probably how i thought the product was going to be! But I mean they shouldn't come off that bad! the middle part of my finger on the right is where the beads have come off a left a small silver circle behind and you can see next to it where the polish has come off.
I would be seriously disappointed if I had paid more than £3 for these! I think they maybe are more of a gimmick product you would wear for maybe one night out and then take off the next day but it is just so disappointing. I am for sure going to take these off tonight when I get in from work....
Have you tried these nail beads? Have you had similar problems with the wear of them??? Whats your opinion?
Now I am a firm believer in the fact that make up does not need to cost a lot of money. Sure you get what you pay for a lot of the time and yes I squee at the look of Mac and high end brands like that but I have a total love for easily avaliable products that you can get by just nipping in to your local boots, superdrugs or sometimes even your local supermarket!
MUA or Make up acadamy is a brand which is avaliable in Superdrugs and online. Its basic MUA range is all £1 and the MUA professional range is £1.50 to £4 including things like Primers, Eye shadow pallets and BB creams. Overall MUA brands itself as selling high end products at affordable prices.
To be honest I hadnt tried MUA until probably 6 months ago. I was under the illusion that if something costs just £1 then the quality couldnt be that good could it???
After reading several blogs and watching several videos that Louise at Sprinkle had made mentioning the below lipstick I took the plunge and brought one. I had always wanted to be a bit more daring and try red lipstick but never found one that I liked or was cheap enough! I didnt one to spend a lot of money on something I wasnt going to like but for £1 I didnt really had much to loose.
Heres some pictures for you! The lip pencil is one that I brought from cosmetics fairy a few weeks ago and again was £1. I was a bit dubious at first as I couldnt match the colour but I needed to get my postage up so I would get free delivery :P
This lipstick is Shade 13 from the MUA range!. It is a lovely bright red shade and comes out really well. It also feels a little creamy too which I love as some lipsticks tend to dry your lips out.Doe you love the MUA range? What are your favourite products?
