If you haven't heard of the Real Techniques Brushes by beauty
YouTuber Samantha Chapman then you have probably been living under a
rock.
Basically
in case you don't know - the real techniques brushes were brought out
by YouTuber Sam Chapman who runs a beauty channel with her sister Nikki here called Pixiwoo. If you haven't seen their channel check it out - they do some fab tutorials.
I
first started using their brushes when I brought the stippling brush
which is the third brush from the right with the square top. There was a
lot of hype online when I brought this brush about how good it was to
put foundation on and to be honest it was the both the first brush I
properly brought and the most I had spent on a make up brush. This is
where my love spelled from. I next brought the Core Collection and
Starter kit and then the blush brush and powder brush.
These
brushes are amazing. They dont shed hairs, they are so soft and lovely
on the skin and they wash amazingly. Plus I would say they are
affordable. The sets are about £21 but when you consider you get 4/5
brushes in them I would say that if fab. Plus you can pick them in Boots
and sometimes they have 3 for 2 deals on them (like they do at the
minute).
My
favorite real technique brushes have got to be the Buffing Brush which
is the second brush in and comes as part of the core collection. I use
it to buff in my foundation. You can get the expert face brush which I
brought for my mum and is similar. I also like the deluxe crease brush
which is the purple handled brush which looks crossed over. This to me
is like a mini buff brush and I use it (like a lot of other
bloggers/YouTubers) to buff in my concealer.
I think that there may be some new brushes in the pipe line which I am excited to see.
Do you love the Real Techniques Brushes? What are your favourites?
So heres another video from me up on my youtube channel. This week its a recent purchases video - its not a March favourites or a late February favourites - I just decided to do a recent favourites to catch you up on all the things I am loving at the moment.
If you fancy seeing what I am loving, check it out.

Hey. Sorry Ive been missing in action for a couple of days. This week has just been one of those weeks. I dont know if I mentioned about the new job I had got... well anyway things fell though with it which means I am not going to be doing it after all. When you have worked so hard for something and it is all you ever want its hard for something to be ripped away from you like that. I got the phone call explaining what had happened on Monday so I have spent most of this week sort of getting my head round what I had thought was going to be a complete change in lifestyle to realizing in fact I was staying put. Luckily I haven't completely cut ties with my current job which means I can stay where I am but it has taken me most of this week to realize that actually there is nothing I could do about what has happened - it wasnt anything I did it just happened. A lot of people have been telling me that everything happens for a reason and that something better will come along. At the minute I feel a bit like God has a bigger plan for me but I am not quite sure once again what it is and wish that he could stop testing me quite so much...
Also this week - because you know everything happens all at once, I found that my best friend from School is moving to Cheshire. Now don't get me wrong, I know its not the other side of the world but it is 40 miles away and although we don't see or text each other every day, she is still probably the best female friend i have. We chat and catch up on a regular basis and she had a little boy who is gorgeous and we have been close for probably the last 10 or 11 years and the thought that she isnt going to be down the road is weird but she is moving to where her boyfriend lives and they are getting a house together. She isnt sure when yet but it will just be a train ride to go and see them instead of meeting in town...
I have made a positive move today though.. I met a lad on holiday wayyyyyyy back in 1999 when we were both on holiday in Great Yarmouth. We have stayed friends ever since and chat all the time, most days in fact. We met up 6 years ago on my 18th Birthday and we haven't seen each other in person since then but we have been saying about meeting up again and it just appears to be one of those things we have talked about but neither of us have done. So today I have booked the train tickets to go up and see him. I am looking forward to meeting up again. Its weird having a friend I feel close to but who lives so far away but I definitely cant wait to see him again.
So basically thats been my week. A crappy start to the week but today, exciting thing to look forward too! I also cheered myself up by making a little Cath Kidston order so I will definitely share that with you when it arrives :)

- OPI Im all ears from the Minnie Mouse Collection.
I have always loved watching the Amazing Race, in fact I always wanted to go on it but they dont do it here in the UK. I was watching videos on YouTube the other day and was watching a video which Joey at Joey Graceffa did called Draw your life. In it he mentioned that he was on the Amazing Race and on further mooching around the internet I found out that he is actually on the current series which is being shown in the US - Season 22.
I have started downloading the series and have caught up with the 4 episodes which have been shown so far.
Joey is partnered with a fellow YouTuber Meghan and I have to say they are absoluetly hilarous - especially Joey - Joey's videos always make me giggle anyway but seeing some of the situations they have been in on this is side splittingly funny!

As I say I love the Amazing Race, I have watched several of the seasons before but because it isnt shown on British TV, I always forget about it. I would love to go on the Amazing Race, I love the idea of racing around the world to look for clues and doing challenges along the way.
Here are links to the YouTube channels of Joey and Meghan in case you havent seen them before go and check them out - both have been doing episode recaps of the race on their channels if you havent seen any of the episodes or you want to catch the highlights :) Even if you don't watch the show, go and check out their channels - you will laugh all day :D
Now I dont know about all of you, but Google reader is what I use to keep up to date with all the blogs etc that I follow. However as you will probably know if you read a lot of blogs out there - Google has announced that they are shutting down Google reader from the 1st July.
I have noticed a lot of the blogs I follow have mentioned they are already preparing by jumping over to bloglovin. I set up a bloglovin account a while ago but I have decided to give it a proper go now. I have added a button to the side >>> if you want to follow me over on there so you can still see my updates.
If you do use Google reader you can import any blogs that you read over onto Bloglovin too.. heres how -
Which ever way you do it - or if your a new follower you can just click the link on the right - make sure you swap over your blogs as from the 1st July you wont be able to use Google reader anymore. I have to say I have been using Bloglovin a few days now and I am already falling in love with it - reading things are there - specifically blogs is actually better than on Google Reader as when you click on the link to the blog you can comment on a post within bloglovin rather than having to then go into blogger and open up the page that way - which I have always found a faff.
xx

- Once it has got to 100% click Create Archive
- Next download the Zip file.
- Once it has downloaded you want the file called subscriptions.xml - unzip and save this
- Next open up bloglovin and go to settings
- Scroll down and click import
- Click browse and find the xml file and open that
Done :)

I haven't done one of these for a while so I thought I would share one with you today. I am afraid the actually picture of me isn't that good - I always seem to struggle to take a good picture of myself. Anyway enough rambling, here it is...
As you can see you can't really get a proper idea of it but you can get the general gist.. basically I went for a really simple face and a nude coloured eye. Here is the products that I used:
Firstly seriously how many Real Techniques brushes do I have! Although to be fair they are amazing and affordable which is why I love them, plus the quality is great. I am really loving the Urban Decay palette at the moment. It has been my go to palette every day since I brought it I think - my other shadows will probably be feeling neglected. I am also loving the new Rimmel Mascara. I will do a separate review on both of these but so far so good :)

As I mentioned yesterday - this week I took back to YouTube to share all the things which I had picked up over the last few weeks and months. A couple of things I had already mentioned on here but I included anyway.
Its quite a long chatty video but if you fancy going to check it out you can see it here.
I will probably do reviews on most of the things in the video but if you want to know about anything in particular let me know

Ive had a week off work this week which I couldn't wait for as I hadn't had a full week off work since I think September. To be honest I hadn't really planned to do a lot which is good because that is exactly what I have done. Ive basically chilled out and caught up with some TV that I have wanted to watch.
One thing which I did plan to do this week and I spent the day doing yesterday is record some videos for my YouTube channel. I have edited 3 of the 5 I made and am going to release them probably over the next couple of weeks/over the month.
If you haven't checked out my channel head over to it HERE. There are a few videos on there but I am going to make a conscious effort to upload some on a regular basis.

Hands up if you love pizza *waves hands around*. However if you do Slimming World like I do you will know the syn values in a slice of pizza are mental (most slices from somewhere like Pizza hut would cost you close to 20 syns a slice). Introducing the low syn pizza!!!!
This pizza (depending on what toppings you add on) will cost you a minimum of 8 syns. Now if you are not counting syns just take my work for it that this is a low calorie alternate to those high calorie pizzas. This pizza is made using the Warburtons Square wraps.
These wraps made an amazing Pizza base! You basically use this as you would any normal Pizza base and whack on your tomato puree and cheese (if your doing Slimming World then Mozzarella is the best as you get more for a HE A). I added Ham and Sweetcorn on mine along with some onion. Basically I chuck this all on and then stick in it the oven. It takes around 10 minutes to cook and then your done! And it tastes JUST like proper pizza!!! These wraps are avaliable in brown and white so you can choose which ever takes your fancy.
The Clarisonic has been knocking around amongst the beauty bloggers for the best part of probably 18 months. It has got to be the leader in electrical face cleansing brushes but at a starting price of £99 for the Clarisonic Mia version it comes with a heafty price tag.
I have admired these on blogs for a while now. I have read some amazing things about these but I always a bit skeptical about buying products like this without being able to try them out as obviously it is a big purchase.
I read online about the No 7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing brush being released and I was instantly drawn to it, especially as it was just £25.
When I popped into Boots this weekend I was looking at the No 7 stand and spotted these. In my local Boots they had a little sign which basically compared these to the clarisonic without actually mentioning it by name. I was talking to the Sales Assistant about this and she said they had sold really well. She also told me that she had one and loved it. My skin has been feeling a little tired recently and definitely in need of a pick me up so I decided to take the plunge and get one of these. On chatting to the Sales lady I was also happy to find out that the £5 off skin care voucher I had recieved last week could be knocked off it! Also No 7 currently had 3 for 2 on at the moment and I could get 3 for 2 and knock my voucher off too so I decided to pick up a Beautiful Skin Cleansing lotion and a pack of the heads too... All together this came to £29.

I have tried this once so far and I am liking it so far but I will give it a proper test and keep you updated.
Have you tried this Cleansing Brush? What you think?
I am sure if you read a lot on the old blogesphere then you will have seen this challenge knocking around on the different blogs. If you haven't, allow me to explain it to you...
The people over at MoneySupermarket are offering bloggers the chance to experience one of those little win situations. Have you ever come to put on your summer coat to find £20 in the pocket - no me neither but it would be nice wouldn't it! Well this is what the lovely people at MoneySupermarket are liking it to! They have been contacting bloggers around the web and giving them £20 and basically having a nosey at what they would choose to spend it on.
When MoneySupermarket contacted me about joining in with this "little win" project then I knew straight away what I was going to spend my money on. This week one of the girls in our office retired and I had said I would make her a retirement cake. So as soon as they contacted me I decided to use this £20 to buy the things to make the cake with so off to Sainsburys I went.
Have you taken part in MoneySupermarket £20 challenge??? Link your post below if you have. I would love to see how different people spent their "lucky win".

Here you can see the bits I got with my £20, basically some items for making a cake, your usual flour, eggs, sugar etc as well as some icing and colours to make it look a bit funky.
And here is the finished cake...
Now I do make cakes so I already had some of the bits like some of the other colours I needed but I brought the bulk of what I needed with the £20. I am SO happy with how the cake turned out. If you cant tell, my friend likes gardening and now she is retired plans to spend her time going on cruises and doing some gardening to fill up part of her time hence the design. She absolutely loved the cake!!!
