Sorry for the lack of posts. It's been a bit crazy since Thursday.
On Saturday, I went to a table top sale at my church. I went round mainly for a bit of a mooch and obviously to support the church. I got some bargains though. I brought some books for like 30p which is ace. They were classic books too which I like to read. I also got a lovely little daisy broach for the new bag which I have just finished sewing (I will share a photo shortly). The best bargain I got was a gorgeous new coat. Its a vintage style navy blue short coat with lovely silver buttons. It needs dry cleaning but other than that its lurrrrrrrrrrrrrvly. And it was a total bargain at £3 (and my nanna was lovely enough to buy it for me too :P). I will share a photo when it has been dry cleaned.
On Sunday, Me and Mummy went for a walk to a hotel down the road where they have a Vintage Fair once a month. I love going and they have some lovely things there. I love to look at the clothes and they had some gorgeous things there, if I had the money I would have spent a fortune. I did however spend just £5. I brought a lovely necklace which is like a clockface and is really unusual. I also brought some pin badges for my bag which are really cute :)
Not really got a lot planned this week. Was not very well yesterday so I feel like I have lost a day of my week because all I did was sleep. I hate being sick too (not that I am sure anyone likes it).
At the weekend me and my friend me and my friend Matt have booked to go away for the weekend. We are going down to Windsor from Friday - Sunday. We have got Merlin passes which we brought in February and living just 16 miles from Alton Towers we have been about 8 times this year. So we decided to go down for a few days and do Thorpe Park and Chessington over the weekend (and pop into Legoland on Friday afternoon when we get there). I am really looking forward to it. With doing my PGCE which finished in July and having a serious lack of funds I havent been on holiday this year so this will be like my holiday :) And bonus is they have given out lovely weather for the weekend :D
So thats my week in a nut shell. I shall share some photos and tell you about my weekend away, just keep your fingers crossed the weather is as nice as they have said it will be.

After weeks and weeks of checking the book section every time I went into Asda I have finally been able to get hold of a copy of One Day.
Asda tends to be the only place I will buy books. Occasionally I will partake in WHSmiths offer of the week (1/2 price) or visit the charity shops I never pay more than £5 for a book unless it's for a present or the hard back of an autobiography I want. And at £3.96 or 3 for £10 you can not beat an Asda bargain!
I love to read all different kinds of books and recently developed a list of books which I would like to read some old classics, some classic rom coms and other just general reads. In a vow not to spend lots of money in an attempt to read my way through my list (which I will share with you next blog post from my pc) I said I would try and get a copy of as many books as I can from the Library.
I recently discovered that you can look up books online through the council website for the local libraries (about time) and I was sure that they would have a copy of One Day with the film just being released, when I checked I found the book but was completely flabbergasted that there were over 100 requests for the book which meant it would probably be well over a year before I saw it.
And so One day makes its way on the my rather large to read pile. I think it may find its self near to, if not at the top. I shall let you know what I think.

Been playing about with my new nail art pens today! Did mums nails ready for her holiday and then did my fingers and toes!
Here's what I did playing around:
And these are what I finally ended up with :)
Am really impressed with these! They were from a seller on eBay called gorgeousland and a total bargain at £6.95 for 24!!! Very impressed!

Ok so after my blog post last thursday when I posted the song which matched my mood... I said I needed to move on.... Scrolling across google reader I came across these images which completely sum up my feelings.
Also this week I brought some nail art pens from ebay. I got 24 for £6.95 which I thought was a fab deal. I shall do a blog post about them when I have experimented with them on my nails (they only came today so not had a chance. :)
Last week when I posted about moving on... I had sent a text 2 days earlier.. just a simple text saying something like hi how are you and asking how his first day back at work had gone (hes a teacher) and when I still hadnt had a text by thursday I though wow... that kind of sums it up. Usually when I text him he texts me back within the hour and if not usually the next day. But when I didnt get a text back at all I thought it kind of summed up my need to move on. We had spoken about our "relationship". When I say relationship I mean we had a chat, I really liked him and asked him out for a drink and he said he valued our friendship too much (we had been working together at a school where I did part of my teacher training and I really fancied him and we had got on really well.) I waited until I finished before asking him out because obviously I wanted to be professional.
Anyway we said we would be friends. When we worked together we would text each other quite a lot. I found my self going over my texts every month while I was there because we would text each other. We said we had "the chat" things wouldnt change. You know when people say this its crap and they will. Over the whole of the summer I think I sent him 3 texts. One to say that I hoped he had a nice holiday (he was going to cyprus) and a friendly one when he got back to say Hope he had a nice time (and one more which followed but never quite went into a convo) So when he didnt text me back by Thursday I decided that what I wrote in that blog post was right. I needed to move on, stop thinking about him and hoping he would change his mind and not forget about him completely but move on from my feelings from him.
I was doing SO well not thinking about him until, like the last photo says - he finally text me. Yesterday. Over a week after I had text him. However this text was different. He started it in the same usual way by being all like hey sorry i didnt get back to you... and then he asked me for a favour. And I thought. This is the only reason he has text me. He isnt sorry that he didnt text me back, he just used it as a conversation starter.

And now I have decided... deffinatly time to STOP thinking about him and MOVE ON.
Anyway, In other news this week has been good because the gym opened last friday and I have been 4 times in the last week. I am really enjoying it. And bonus is I lost 4lb this week when I went to Slimming world. :) I really think that going to the gym has helped me focus on eating healthy. Mum and Dad are away next week so its just me and my brother. Its going to be a test to make sure I can stay focussed both food wise and exercise wise. I have a spin class booked for Tuesday which I am both looking forward to and apprehensive about so I shall let you know how that goes. (If I am still alive after it :P)
Ok so as promised I havent completely given up on the 30 day challenge - I have just picked out the ones which I liked..
So my wedding dream. I think most girls think about their wedding when they are growning up, dreams of cinderella weddings and fairytails.
Since I was a little girl, I have always wanted to get married in the church where my mum and dad got married. It is our local church which we have gone to since I was born. I was christened and confirmed in the church and in 1999-2000 when I was 10/11, I was lucky enough to be crowned the church queen – something which the church did every year at the annual summer garden party.
I want to be surrounded by all the people who mean the most to me in my life as family and friends are something which are very important to me.

Here is a little inspiration board of things which I have come across mostly on google reader. I love crafty and vintage things so the idea of including something unique into my wedding day is something which I quite like. I really love the image in the top left of the picture frame. It has a map shot of where the couple met, married and live which I thought was quite cool. Next to that is the date of the wedding stitched into the grooms suit jacket, I saw a similar one with the date of the wedding stitched into the under seam on the womans dress in blue cotton but I could not find the image again. You can not see the coat hanger very well but I have seen quite a few images like this with the bridesmaids dresses and names on. This one also has a little thank you note and a pair of earrings on. The picture of the church is the church where I want to get married... isnt it pretty. It has lovely gardens surrounding it too :) Next to that the picture booth looking images are invitations where the couple have had photos of themselves with their names and the date of their wedding. And lastly the one at the bottom is a cool way to display table names. I really love this idea.
I think the rest pretty much explain themselves :)
It may be a long way away yet but hey a girl can dream about these things :PI think the rest pretty much explain themselves :)
Hello :)
Once again I have failed at posting on the blog for the 30 day challenge - since Friday I have been busy and was unable yesterday to get onto the internet as the router decided to have an off day. Anyway I have decided to scrap the 30 day challenge. Not completely but some of the ones which were upcoming were totally uninspiring and I was struggling to think what to write so I have decided I am just going to pick out the ones that I like that I havent posted yet and share those with you...
I joined the gym a few months ago and have been waiting for it to open. It was due to open on Thursday at 5pm and have been looking forward to it opening so I could start to get fitter (and was hoping that the healthy eating and weightloss would fall into place too)
Well I have been twice since it opened and its going good. If you look at my 30/30 list one of the things on it is to use my gym membership and I fully intend to do so. I really like this gym and can say that since I have been going on friday I have been really healthy food wise - no point spending 2hrs at the gym and then going home to eat a chocolate bar.
The gym is called Pure Gym. I joined when they had an offer on for their opening which was £9.99 a month for the first year (then £16.99 after that) but you are not tied into a contract so you can cancel at any time. I love the gym to.. as the name says it is just a gym - no pool or anything but there is loads of classes - I have already booked a spin class and a zumba class for the next couple of weeks! Its a bonus that its only a 10 minute walk from my house too which means I can walk there and back and get an extra bit of exercise too :) I have been twice since friday and racked up 4 hours so far. So fingers crossed :)
I dont think it would be right for me to have a blog post on this date without remembering the tradgey which happened 10 years ago today. I cant quite believe that it has been 10 years. It does not seem that long when I think about it. I know everyone says it but I can remember exactly what I was doing - I think everyone can. I think anyone who can remember the terrible events which happened on that day will remember it for the rest of their lives. We will always remember the people who lost their lives on that day and the sacrifice that was made my some to protect others.

So I finished my book and as promised here is a review on it :)
This isnt the first time I have read this book, in fact I have read this book probably a dozen times. I love this book. I love Cecelia Ahern. I have read quite a number of her books my favourites being this one and PS I love you.
I like the style of writing this book is set in. It consists of a letters, emails, instant messages and the occasional text message. Its really easy to read and because it each letter is not that long you can literally pick it up, read a bit and then come back to it later.
So this book is about 2 best friends and their lives. It starts when they are about 5 and starting school and follows them through childhood, marriage, children, growning old... I would reccomend that everyone reads this book. Its a lovely read about a guy and a girl who grow up best friends.
One this book makes me want to do everytime I read it to write more letters...
And so Day 13...
A song to match my mood.. hmmmm. Its 10.30 in the morning and I am not really sure what mood I am in at the moment. Although there is something on my mind at the moment which I cant stop thinking about. I think that I have decided that I need to close the door on it. I need to let it go. Nothing is going to happen and I need to accept that and move on. I think something has finally made me realise it is time to move on. I thought that things were not going to change.. we said things wouldnt change or get weird but I feel like they have. And I think last night prooved that. Time to move on Laura and forget about him...

- My Handbag (or one of the ones I use most often) - Was £22 from Dorothy Perkins but got 20% student discount off it so it was only £17.80 :)
- My Tommy Hilfiger Glasses case for my glasses
- The book I am currently reading - Where Rainbows End by Cecelia Ahern (Will do a review when done)
- My Purse which was from Evans and I think was around £12 (but got 25% staff discount as it was when I worked there)
- My Sunglasses - In case it ever gets sunny :P
- My Keys - I say Keys, out of that big bunch there is only actually 1 key for my front door on there - the rest is key rings. My 3 favourite ones are the Witches Hat (from London when I went to see Wicked), the Penny Lane one (from the Beetles Museum in Liverpool) and the Hogwarts Crest (from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter)
- My "Make Up" Bag - Not really a make up bag because there isn't really any make up in it. I have a hairbrush (which also have a clothes brush), A mirror, Paracetamol, No7 Lipstick in shade 40 - Lovely and my absolutely favourite lipgloss in the whole world; Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker in shade Baby Doll
- My Raspberry Filofax which contains EVERYTHING!!! I couldnt live without it!
My Itunes Library is such a pic and mix of different things from pop to classical, R&B to musicals.
Here is my shuffle;
1. Paramore – The Only Exception
2. Coldplay – The scientist
3. Glee – Get it right
4. Christina Perri – Jar of Hearts
5. Wicked – I’m not that Girl
6. Les Miserables – Little Fall of Rain
7. Adele – Someone like You (Acoustic Version)
8. Aerosmith – I don’t want to miss a thing
9. Bruno Mars - Liquor store blues
10. Ludovico Einaudi - I Giorni
Here’s a picture of me on 31st August 2009 at Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida. This photo brings back some absolutely fantastic memories. This holiday was my first alone (aboard) without my parents and I loved every single minute of it. I was so excited to see the making of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – and even more excited when we went back to Florida 8 months later as an end of uni celebration and were one of the first people to get to go into the wizarding world of Harry Potter before the grand opening.
Good Times.
Hello there lovelies!
I bet you thought I had given up on this? My life has been absolutely hectic this last week. I feel like I havent stopped! I think this is the first time in over a week that I have had my laptop on.
So last friday my best friend gave birth to a beautiful baby girl :) she is called Montana Louise and is absolutely GORGEOUS. I met her for the first time last sunday after my friend had been home for a day and got to have lots of cuddles :P It does make me extremely broody when I see her (although children are not on my plan yet - although I cant wait to have kids)
This week I have spent a lot of time behind a needle and thread making a costume for my friends birthday party yesterday! She is an absolutely MAD Harry Potter fan just like me and had a Harry Potter Party :) I went dressed as Luna :) You can not see my costume that well here but I made the robes myself from a pattern that Vikki (my friend) sent me and had a white shirt and pleated skirt. I knew my friend would go as Hermionie because her boyfriend is Ginger and was so made to go as Ron so I knew I didnt want to go as Hermionie. I chose to go as Luna. I love Luna. She is one of my favourite characters (although in fairness that is quite a long list - Hermionie, Ginny, Draco, Luna, Harry, Professor McGonnagal, Professor Snape, Lupin and Sirus) so yeah I chose Luna. I like how individual she is and thought it would be a good one to be funky with. So with my uniform of the ravenclaw tie and uniform I teamed it with some purple tights and of course Luna's signiture Radish Earings and Butterbeer Cork Necklace which I made myself.
I also made a cake for my friend. I do love my cake making and so to team it with one of my other loves of Harry Potter was even better. I really enjoyed making this cake :)
Going back to continue with my 30 day list (with a gap :P ) DAY 8 - A song that reminds you of someone your closest to.
When thinking about a song that reminds me of someone I am close to there is only one song which springs into my mind and that is For Good from the musical Wicked. This song is me and my best friends Anthem. We both love Wicked and when we went to see it last year it was magical.. and we both loved every moment of it. The lyrics are so true :D
I LOVE this song and can not hear it without thinking of my best friend. I am so lucky to have him as a friend :D
