Unless you have been living under some kind of anti internet rock you will have seen the influx of books being released by YouTubers.... Zoe, Tanya and Fleur have all released books in the last few months.
Tanya's book is a bit of everything.. there is snippets of her life and childhood, her life with Jim as well lots of tips and tricks that she has picked up along the way.
I was really looking forward to picking the book up on its release date and was even more ecstatic to find it in my local WHSmiths the weekend before it was released.
I took to reading the book straight away and I didn't want to put it down once I picked it up. It is the sort of book though that you can pick up and put down as it has lots of little snippets and chapters.
It was interesting reading how Tanya got to the point where she is today. It is easy to forget she you watch these videos of these stars they all started as normal people who just decided to pick a camera up one day and record a video.
I have read a couple of reviews that said this book is aimed at a young audience however I totally disagree. I feel this book was really well pitched for all ages.
You can pick Tanya's book up on Amazon here for £6.49
Have you read Tanya's book? What did you think?

I don't very often come on here and talk about my faith or things to do with church but since its that time of year again I thought I would. For those of you who don't know Ash Wednesday is the day after Shrove Tuesday (or pancake day) and signifies the lead up to Easter.
It is tradition for many people around the time of lent to give something up. For the last few years I have decided to give things up. Lent is about a time of reflection and removing things from your life. However I also know people who decide to take things up for Lent as well.
This year I have decided to remove the following things from my life for the period of lent:

This year I have decided to remove the following things from my life for the period of lent:
- Chocolate
- Sweets
- Biscuits
- Cakes
- Crisps
- Fizzy Drinks
I am hoping as well as a time for reflection it will also give me time to reflect and focus on my heathy eating.
As well as giving up something for Lent I also want to take something up for lent as well. You can follow my progress for what I will be doing and how is it going on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram (links at the top).
Are you giving or starting anything for Lent??

It is a bit of a pain in the butt that during the month of February we have both mine and Adams birthdays. Mine is the 8th and Adams is the 21st and smack bang in the weekend between them is valentines day.
I really struggled with what to get Adam, I had a couple of ideas... and as I do with a lot of my ideas I took to my friend Pinterest!

This is where I found the basic idea for these Open me when envelopes. The basic idea of them is that you write lots of different envelopes with ideas and notes in.
Here are the ones I did:
Open when... we need a date night
Open when... you need some luck
Open when... you are feeling ill
Open when... you have a tough decision to make
Open when... your missing me
Open when... Its the 20th June 2015 (1 year to go)
Open when... You need a pick me up
Open when... Your doubting yourself
Open when... your mad at me
Open when... Your disappointed
Open when... you need a laugh
Open when... you need to know how much I love you
There are so many possibilities that you can do with these envelopes and they would be suitable for all kinds of situations, not just valentines day but birthdays...christmas...
Have you ever seen anything like this?

Hello lovelies! How are we all??
Just thought I would Bob on and do a quick hello while I am munching on my weetabix!
Have we all had a good week?
This week has flown by! I had a lovely weekend last weekend celebrating my birthday which of course you had to drag out for as long as you can! We went for a lovely meal with my mum and dad and Adams mum and dad - and of course Adam then on Sunday we went for a little trip to one of the local garden centres not far from us which is awesome and has a huge hobby craft, Lakeland and lots of other little shops. We had a lovely coffee and piece of cake and coffee and then in the evening we went round to mum and dads for tea where by brother and his fiancé also came round. It was a lovely way to spend my birthday!
This week has been a really busy one especially at work. Me and Adam have also started house hunting again. We have been in our house nearly a year now and the tenancy is due for renewal at the end of March but we have been discussing moving to somewhere perhaps a bit bigger or more homely. As nice as the house we are in is how, we are paying a lot of money for what we have. I am going to have a look at house tomorrow which I love and is perfect so fingers crossed.
Xxx
Seriously how quickly did January go? Im not going to lie January was a pretty crappy month as starts to the year go... a lot of shit went down.. a couple of friends have been diagnosed with Cancer and work has just been crazzzzzy. Onwards and upwards though.. and before we totally push January to the back of my mind, I thought I would share with you my favourites of January...
Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation - Review here - This foundation has had some serious love this month and I am SO excited to have finally found a drug store foundation which is a brilliant match for my skin.
I picked up Tanya's book just before its release date. This book is a mix of tips as well as bits of Tanya's life. I am real enjoying this book and I will do a proper review as soon as I am done.
For the first 6 seasons I watched Greys Anatomy religiously. Then I missed a series and you know how it is you quickly loose touch. We upgraded our Sky + recently to include the box sets and low and behold there was Greys Anatomy :) I have loved getting back into it!!!
Mac - All that Glitters - My Mac palette has seen some love over this month and this is one shade I have been loving! It is such a gorgeous, goes with everything and perfect everyday shade. Defiantly one of my favourite purchases.
When I first purchased this Bioderma I have to say I wasn't instantly sold. However I have been using it more and more and have to say I can finally see what all the hype is about...
Other notable favourites for this month:
Planning Exciting Trips to London
Finally getting our dishwasher plumed in (its the small things)
Dorothy Perkins and their bloody awesome sale
Getting back into crafting and making some cards

Its strange isn't it... Foundation is one of those things that most of us use on a daily basis but its one thing we all put on in different ways.
In my make up and brush collection, I have 4 different brushes that over the past year/couple of years I have used to apply foundation.
Real Techniques Buffing Brush
This is a brush I used religiously when I got my core collection but took a back seat when I got my expert face brush. This brush has soft bristles which allow you to get a good buff on your foundation. I recently went back to using this brush and I have fallen in love all over again.
Real Techniques Expert Face Brush
This brush is again one that has seen some serious love. Unlike the buffing brush it has shorted more compact bristles which allow you to get a good buff on with a more stiff buff (if that makes sense)
No 7 Foundation Brush
I have to admit I have never really been a fan of this type of brush to put my foundation on. I have used it to blend concealer but its foundation applying days were quite short lived.
Real Techniques Stippling Brush
My first experience of the Real Techniques brushes. Again a brush which saw much love in its time and parted only because of the introduction of the buffing brush. I use this one now to blend in cream blushes.
These are just a small number of ways to blend in foundation. Obviously the other most easy way and cheap way to blend foundation in is to use your hands. Great if your in a rush or on the go. I have also seen a lot of people using things like the beauty blender which look great online but not something I have ever used myself.
How do you apply your foundation?

As I am sure I have mentioned many times I am a guide leader. I absolutely love it and choosing to do it was one of the best things I have chosen to do.
During our planning meeting at the start of the year, we decided that we would do a week on esafety. Our guides range from 10 - 14 so are at that prime age for needing to understand the importance of esafety.
I had seen a couple of things online with ideas about esafety and got a couple of ideas. One idea I had seen was about a couple of people who had posted a picture of themselves holding up a message saying please share. I thought I would give it a go and 2 weeks ago posted the below picture on my personal Facebook page.
I wanted to make the point that a photo you post on your Facebook can be quickly passed on. I gave it 3 days - I posted on the Sunday night in prep for te talk at guides on the Wednesday- I figured if I got 100 shares it would totally make my point.
By the time I went to bed 5 hours later I was already up to nearly 350 shares and over the next 3 days it quickly rose to nearly 24,000 by the time I went to guides on the Wednesday! It has continued to rise and at the moment is on nearly 87,000!!! I can't actually believe it! It's been seen by people all over the world!
It really does make a point about staying safe online and making sure your vigilant about what you post!
