Lychee is a really light beige nudey colour. This photo doesnt really do this shade justice. It is such a nice neutral shade. I decided to top it with the new top coat from L'Oreal - Diamond Lurex.
Have you tried the Barry M Gelly Shades? Do you love or hate?
Anyway on seeing this post I instantly fell in love with the bag which Sammi was sporting - the Zara Office Bag. The moment I saw this bag I knew I wanted it! It is such a nice bag!
I havent brought this bag yet but I reallllly want to get it. We haven't got a Zara around here but tomorrow is payday :S
I am going for an interview on Wednesday and I have decided to before I buy it. I decided if I get this new job then I am going to treat myself to this new bag as it would be perfect for carrying folders and papers around.
On going past the Bourjois stand I noticed they had the new Rouge lipsticks with £2 off making them £5.99. I recently started to get into lip products since companies started to make them more moisturising.3 of the shades drew me in, shade number 4 - Rose tweed, shade number 7 -Fuchsia Graffiti and shade number 18 - Voline Strass
I love these. I tried a couple of them this afternoon. They feel very soft on your lips and the colour stays around for ages which I definately love in a lipstick as there is nothing worse if you have to keep applying it every 5 minutes. The packaging also looks swish and expensive and I love the ends where you can see the colour without having to open it :)
Lastly I nipped into Argos and picked up a set of curling irons. If you follow me on instagram you will have seen the picture of my hair when I went out with the girls from work.
To achieve this I used a my curling wand which I have had a couple of years now and makes an appearance every now and again. However I find it really fiddly to do myself and my mum always ends up doing it for me. I was really happy with now my hair looked last night and want to start doing my hair like this more often and I figured it would be easier to using curling irons that a wand. The wand I picked up was the Essentials professional ceramic hair tong which i got for £14.99 from Argos. I will keep you updated as to how much I loving these.
This weekly weight up date seems to come round so fast...
Went to weigh in last night and had lost another 1/2 a pound which i was pleased with as i didn't feel i had been 100% this week. Going for a good week this week again so hoping for 1 1/2 which will leave me 2 pounds away from my 2 stone as i am now 3 1/2 away!
Here is to a good week!!
To be honest I wasnt really sure when Matt asked me if it was my kind of thing. However I am SO glad I decided to go. Now if you have been reading this blog a while then you will know how much I love going to the theatre and musicals however our experience of plays is some what limited. We saw Journeys End in 2011 and we enjoyed seeing that because it was so different from what we had seen before so we said we would start to experiment and see a few more plays - however the ones coming to out local theatre have been quite limited...
Mousetrap is celebrating its diamond anniversary and is currently completing a tour of the UK. I don't want to say too much about it because its a who done it murder story but it follows the murder of a woman in London and as I say is a who done it story. You literally can not tell who it is all the way through and it is such a shock when everything is revealed at the end.
If you get the chance to see it then I would defiantly recommend it.
Today i have officially ticked something off my bucket list and my 30 before 30 list and have been and given blood! It is something i have wanted to do since i was able to but never actually did. But now i have done.
Apparently my veins were terrible. She had trouble finding a vein at first and had to go in my other arm (the one i write with) and she said in the end she thought it was on a valve as the flow kept starting! I will definitely go again. Plus the lady said my veins would probably get better the more i did it.
You can give blood every 16 weeks as a female so i am going to go again in about July as i need to wait 28 days after we come back from Florida.
Do you give blood. If your interested then head over to www.blood.co.uk to register and look for local donation places!
This week, it seemed like sticking in there paid off and I lost 2 pounds! I was so happy as I was on _ stone 1 pound and I wanted to drop down into the next stone!!
Over the last couple of weeks I have really started to notice my weight loss. I am on 1 stone 10 pounds now and a couple of people have started to comment on the fact that they can now notice I have lost weight now.
Also since I posted about the top i brought in Sainsburys last week which was in a smaller size, today I brought a pair of jeans in a smaller size too which I was desperate for as my current ones are having off me now! I picked up a pair in new look in a size smaller. I also picked up some new work trousers too as they are hanging off me now too! Also while out shopping today I popped into peacocks and I spotted that they had coloured jeans for £10 which I have wanted a pair of for agggggggges! They had a pair in lovely purple colour which I wanted but the biggest they had was in an 18. When I started loosing weight I was a size 22 and the trousers I brought from New Look, I brought in a 20. I decided at £10 I would get the 18 and slim into them. My mum told me to try them on anyway, just to see how close I was and I was so amazed to find that they fit!!! I was so shocked!
I think the fact that I can start to see the difference the weight is having in my clothes is giving me a boost! I really like fashion and lust over some of the smaller clothes that are available out there so I cant wait until I can start buying them!
As I said last week you have to take these little achievements and allow them to boost you along the way!
-
I find large social situations awkward, especially ones with groups of people I dont know because I am really quiet with people who I dont really know as I never know what to say.
- I would much rather spend the evening watching a movie or tv snuggled up rather than going out on the town.
- I LOVE musicals! Going to the theatre excites me much more than going out drinking. My favourite musicals are Les Miserables, Wicked and Phantom of the Opera.
- I enjoy singing and sing in the church choir every sunday at the church where I go which I love. I may be the youngest member of the choir by quite a few years but I love the sense of belonging being in the choir gives me.(Theres me in the middle - this is at my mum and dads vowel renewal)
- I hate it when the food on my plate touches - particularly things with sauces. I cant have curry on top of rice or spag bol on top of pasta... it just freaks me out!
- I never really got into make up until about 12/18 months ago. Now I have more than i would like to count!
- My mum is my best friend. I love how close we are and I know I can tell her anything. I hope one day I can be as close with my own daughter as I am with her!
- I hate it when a plug is switched on but there is nothing plugged in - no matter where I am I have to switch it off.
- I dont really like talking on the phone - even though its quite a big part of the job I do.
- Up until about 4 or 5 years ago I always used to be the one who would hold the bags while all my friends went on the rides at the theme park - I once stood and wait 2 hours while my friends went on Air at Alton Towers. Now however I am totally up for going on all kinds of rolla rcoasters! My favourite ones are SheiKra at Busch Gardens in Orlando and Kraken at Sea World in Orlando!
- I love baking - if ever I won a lot of money on the lottery etc I would open up my own cake shop. I especially love making cakes for other people.
- The thing that scares me the most in life is the thought of ending up alone and never being able to have children of my own.
- I have 1 brother who is 17 months younger than I am. I love being that close in age with him because we grew up very close. When I was playing with Barbies, he was into action men.... We used to collect Pokemon cards together (wow blast from the past). He is hilarious and we have a right giggle together!
- I have an unhealthy obsession with buying stationary and nail polish!
- I love Harry Potter. I have read all of the books and seen all of the films far too many times - so much so that when watching the films I can now quote the next line which is about to be said - much to the annoyance of my dad!
- I really wish I had the courage (and the money) just up and go travelling.
- My favourite colour is purple which matches my birth stone which is Amethyst. I love purple and even my laptop is purple (and called violet)
- I am training to be a guide leader which I love!
- I did an ICT degree at university and then did a year to get my teaching qualification meaning I am a qualified secondary ICT teacher however it isnt currently the job I am doing although I really wish it was!
- I cant drive although I really need to pick up the courage and start to learn again. I got so close to passing my test and never did it. Part of me is a little scared to start driving...
And that is 20 random facts about me. If you do or have done this post - link it down below as I love a good nosey at these posts :)
If you think back to last year I posted this post to let you all know what I was giving up for Lent so I thought I would do the same this year. I want to do again what I did last year, get rid of all the crap in my life that seems to be sneaking - not as much since I have been 100% focused on slimming world but they do have a habit of sneaking in. So here is what I have decided to give up for Lent 2012.
- Chocolate
- Sweets
- Cakes
- Biscuits
- Crisps
Also during this Lent I want to start saying thank you to God more for what I have. It is often easy to forget all the good things we have in our life and just be sad for the things which are lacking.
Are you giving up anything for Lent this year? What are your lent sacrifices?
My friend at work knows how much I have fallen in love with Benefit so she decided to pick this up for me. This is Benefits Go Tropicoral. This is a set which contains 4 items designed for Lips and Cheeks which are all (as the name would suggest) of a coral colouring.
This is what the set contains a 4ml Cha Cha tint and a 4ml high beam, a 3g coralista powder and brush and a coralista lip gloss. This set retails for £24.50.
Now the first thing I have to say is I dont think this is something I would pick up myself. The colouring of the Cha Cha tint when I opened it (bright - and I mean bright orange) scared me a little bit. I had been lusting over the new Fine One One but again I wasnt sure the colours would suit my skin however when I first used the cha cha tint I fell instanly in love. It blends in so nice and cant wait to carry on using it and getting a better test of it :)
Have you tried any of the parts of this set? Do you love the cha cha tint or does the colour scare you?
I finally got my package on Saturday after missing the postman and having to have it redelivered so I thought I would share with you what I recieved.
My swapping partner was Gemma over at Foodfashfit who sent me a lovely packaged box full of goodies (it made me feel bad that I had just put mine in an envelope). The first thing I noticed was the box contained a couple of brands which I had not heard of before which was good. My box contained some cuticle sticks, All about face Mascara, all about face nail polish, Vivo Baked Bronze, Lip Gloss, Vivo eyeshadow trio (which you cant see her), a Vivo eye shadow (again you cant see) and a bath milk. Thats an amazing 8 products which when you consider there was a £10 budget was amazing! I am excited to try all these products, particularly the Vivo ones which I havent tried before and the Mascara which according to the receipt was just 37p!!!! Bargain!
I'll let you know how I get on with some of the products in this box as I use them :) Thanks Naomi for organising the swap! As I say I was a little disappointed at first to be paired with someone from the UK at first but now I am so happy as I have been introduced to some new brands which who knows, I may love :)
This weekend I went shopping with mum in Sainsburys and I spotted a top which I fell in love with. And what is more I got to do a little dance in the changing room when I got into a smaller size :)
As I say you have to celebrate the little things! I am hoping for a good loss this week because I have had a good week so I will let you know!!!
I used Rimmel double decker bus and a white french polish by Rimmel :)
Basically what you do is get a jar and then you write down memories every time you do something you want to remember. Then when you look back on new years eve and you read back through all of the little memory notes which you have put in your jar.
I started my jar with a couple of memories from January. I want to get some pretty paper to write the notes on but I am loving this so far. I brought the jar from Sainsburys for £4.
Have you seen this idea on pinterest??
