To be honest it is very rare I go out and do any clothes shopping. Most of the shopping I do is like spur of the moment if I see something nice or am going out sort of shopping...
Back in March we insured our kitten with Asda pet insurance and as an insentive we got a £20 Asda gift card. I say we I mean mum. The gift card didnt come till late June (not through one of lots of phone calls to ask where it was). Anyway around the same time it came, I did my room out and got rid of a lot of clothes that were either too short in the body for me or that I hadnt worn in ages. As with all my clothes when I have a clear out, mum always likes to have a rummage through to see if there is anything that she wants, being 5 inches shorter than be but the same size does have its advantages for her. Anyway she ended up with most of the clothes I didnt want and in return gave me the Asda gift card to treat myself to something new :D
We havent really been up to the supermarket in a while because we have been doing the shopping online but we nipped up today and I managed to spend some of my voucher on this bargain dress.
Because the battery is flat in my camera you will have to make do with this picture from the Asda website :)
But yes total bargain at just £6!!! Love it! Its lovely and summery. I'm planning on wearing it with leggings (mainly because I dont have the legs to pull it off like the model in the photo without) :P
And so my manta for today is dont pass up on the supermarkets! Sure they may not be Gucci or Doir but they sell some lovely stuff at real affordable prices :)

Decided to pain my nails this morning while I was chilling out and watching Waterloo road series 3. I have started catching up, I have had the box sets a while - I had watched most of series 2 but then didn't get any time to sit and watch it so I started watching it again now I have some time :)
Anyway my nails of the day :)
Excuse the crappy photo (taken on my iPhone)
They are both No7 colours. I don't know if you can tell but they are pink with glitter over the top.
Pink = Pink grapefruit
Glitter = Lavender
Also welcome to my followers :)

Well the weekend seems to have flown by and here it is tuesday already! I cant believe it!
We had a lovely day on sunday. As I mentioned my brother was 21 on Sunday and we went out for a meal with my parents, grandparents and my brothers girlfrienf which was really lovely.
Yesterday was a nice day too. Me and my friend Matt went to Alton Tower. We have annual passes and this makes the *counts in head* 4th (possibly) time this year that we have been. I absolutely LOVE having an annual pass. It means that we dont have to rush around like a nutter trying to get on everything. Considering it was the first day of the school holidays it wasnt actually that busy. We didnt really queue long for anything. I think the longest we waited was about 20 minutes for Rita and Air.
As it was such a lovely day yesterday we spent a lot of time chilling on the grass. We got some dinner and sat on the grass by the lake and chilled in the sunshine. It was really lovely - apart from the fact we got attacked by ducks! As we were sitting eating dinner they came over and then they just kept staring at us, there was just this one duck that was proper freaking me out!
In an attempt to keep myself busy I offered to do the cooking for this week. I did the shopping at the weekend after flicking through the cooking books. Last night I cooked Minced Beef Hash which if I do say so myself, was absolutely yummy! I shall deffinately be making this again.
Tonight I am cooking chinese style chicken with noodles and stir fry veg. I will let you know how it goes :)

So the last few days have been quite busy!
My little brother turns 21 tomorrow and his girlfriend Carrie organised a bit of a surprise get together for him in the local pub where they usually go for a drink (so he wouldnt suspect anything).
She invited all the family, friends, all his colleagues from work and it was like a military operation attempting to keep it a secret, get to the pub in order to suprise him.
When he got there he was genuinely surprised and hadnt suspected a thing which I was quite shocked about as there has been a lot of whispering behind backs going on, I was sure he would suspect something.
About 6 months ago, I got into making birthday cakes, not properly making them as in for business but since then if anyones birthday has come around I had decorated a cake for them. I found a picture online of the perfect cake for my brother and just had to make it for him. He works at the Monkey Forest at Trentham Gardens and is one of the guides and keepers who helps to look after the monkeys and we always joke around with him saying he loves working there because he fits in well being a little monkey himself :P so the cake just had to involve monkeys in some way.
I am very happy with how the cake turned out! It did take about 3 1/2 hours to decorate but I wanted it to be perfect :)
All week I have been having a look while I have been out and about for something to wear last night. However nothing was quite catching my eye. I had thought about wearing a dress that I brought at the start of the year but its always nice to have something new. However nothing seemed to be as nice as what I already had so this is what I wore.

Leggings - Primark
Shoes, Necklace and Bracelet - Evans
Last night was the first night since having my hair cut last friday and dying it last saturday that I have straightened it... I have had it curly all week which it naturally is (as it requires no effort :P)
I really love it. When I went to the hair dressers, I really wanted a change because I was getting a bit bored of my hair as it was, it was long and I felt it was a bit plain so fancied a change and decided to go for a choppy style which is a bit longer than a bob! Well I am loving it <3
So here I go....
I have spent a lot of time over the past probably 12 months getting into reading blogs. I got into looking at blogs and reading google reader and wanted a go of blogging myself but wasnt sure what to blog about. I thought about maybe fashion but dont consider myself to be that fashionable and my life itself isnt that interesting for people to want to read about everyday. So this blog isnt going to have a specific catagory. Its going to be basically a random spattering of everything.
My 2 favourite blogs that I enjoy reading are Sarahseesall and Loves Life and Labels *points to the left*. To be honest reading their blogs has inspired me to start my own blog and to keep on top of it. I am going to take parts of both of their blogs and use them in mine.
So my blog is going to be a bit of everything. Reviews of books, products, films I have seen, places I have been, fashion and life in general.
Feel free to comment on anything and everything! It will be nice to know that people are out there reading my stuff :)
Thanks to Sarah and Charlotte for the inspiration for this blog :)
